Midnight Scenes: From the Woods

I thought this was so good. It takes all of the atmosphere and storytelling normally present in Octavi Navarro's games and extends it without losing any of the punch. Basically every object is has a little dialogue or description, which I adore, and the dialogue options for Elijah felt natural and fitted to his character (I feel many games with multiple dialogue options are not able to boast this). The story was really good and super engaging, though the gameplay is quite limited (it's not puzzle solving, it's more of an interactive story). It wasn't super scary but I don't really think that's such a bad thing; it's good for other reasons. I will say, I haven't played the game this is supposedly a sequel to because I got my order mixed up, so it didn't bother me it wasn't a stand-alone, because in my eyes it was.

Oh I enjoyed this game so much! Less problem-solving than the first few games, but the story was so great I didn't even care! This is a continuation of the Nanny episode in this series. This was probably my favorite installment thus far. The end credits made me giggle too. If you enjoyed the other games, including the graphics, music, and storytelling and are okay without the puzzles/problem-solving, you will definitely like this! Highly recommend.

ストーリーの時系列としては前作の続き。冒頭のテレビのシーンから演出がおしゃれで惹き込まれる。 各登場人物のキャラクター描写がとても良くて、青春ドラマな要素もありつつのホラーストーリーでめちゃくちゃ良かった。ボリュームもちょうどよく、映画を一本見たような満足感でした！！ トイレと隣接しているシャワールーム嫌すぎるけど、アメリカの昔の学校とかってこんな感じなのかな……。あと、いじめ描写は嫌～な感じ。いじめの生々しい嫌さと比較すると、森の怪異たちがやっていることがヒロイックに見える。まぁスプラッタなのだが。 ゲームとしてはポイント＆クリックでストーリーを進める形式で、謎解きやアクションが求められる場面はほとんど無い。でもストーリーが面白いので、難しい操作を求められない点がむしろ良いかも。 80年代を舞台にした、80年代ホラー映画っぽい作風なのだけれど、クィアのロマンスを描いている点は現代的でそこも良かった。

The real "horror" of this game are the lifestyle choices of the protagonist. Wish this s**t would be kept out of gaming. Younger gamers play this stuff as it looks all cartoony and cute. Absolutely no need for it. Parents - don't let your kid play this.

Could have been a great game like the previous installments, but this one made two grave mistakes: going fully linear, no actual gameplay whatsoever, and kneecapping the game with yet another dime a dozen weak, woke, implausible politically activist sob story.

це просто 11/10! я чесно, люди, купуйте і не пожалкуєте! давно я не грав в шось, що настільки було цікаве, моторошне і не затягнуте. Автор геній! Чекаю на переклад всіх його ігр українською від спільноти наших перекладачів, а бо просто буду грати англ версію, бо дуже цікаво пограти інші його ігри тепер

This was a very heartfelt sequel to Midnight Scenes: The Nanny. I don't want to give away anything, so I'll say it was a good little horror game. 10/10

C'est la suite de l'épisode The nanny. Une histoire plus longue et plus abouti, tout en restant assez court (environ 1h30). Trés agréable à jouer pour un jeu horrifique, comme tout le reste des épisodes des Midnight scenes. Super concept.
