About
Meteor Blasters is a fast-paced arcade space shooter built around momentum-based movement, explosive destruction, and relentless survival under pressure.
Drift through dangerous asteroid storms, dodge collapsing debris fields, and fight to stay alive as the battlefield spirals into chaos around you.
Every movement matters.
Master inertia-based flight controls, navigate unpredictable asteroid fields, and survive increasingly intense waves of destruction in a classic arcade experience inspired by the golden age of space shooters.
Your ship is constantly in motion.
Meteor Blasters uses classic inertia-driven controls that force players to carefully manage speed, momentum, and positioning while surviving increasingly dangerous combat scenarios.
The faster the action becomes, the harder it is to stay in control.
React too slowly and you’ll crash into spinning debris, collide with asteroids, or drift directly into enemy fire.
Precision movement and quick reactions are the key to survival.
Blast apart massive asteroid fields as dangerous debris floods the battlefield.
Every destroyed asteroid creates new hazards, transforming combat zones into chaotic storms of:
flying debris
explosive chain reactions
deadly collisions
unpredictable movement
The battlefield is constantly changing, forcing players to adapt and survive under mounting pressure.
No two battles play out the same way.
Procedurally generated asteroid fields create unpredictable combat situations filled with:
shifting hazards
escalating enemy pressure
dangerous environmental obstacles
constantly evolving survival scenarios
As the action intensifies, surviving even a few more seconds becomes a challenge.
Play solo or battle with up to 4 players in local multiplayer modes.
Fight together to survive overwhelming asteroid storms in co-op mode, or compete against friends in frantic versus battles where momentum, positioning, and survival skills determine the winner.
With multiple ships drifting through collapsing asteroid fields simultaneously, every match becomes fast, unpredictable, and chaotic.

Meteor Blasters falls neatly into that category of retro style shooters. It has a great just one more go vibe and is a great variant on the classic Asteroids. Its easy to pick up and play but has enough depth you will strive to master it and get better each time. The game feels like the offspring of Geometry Wars and Ikargu. The colour changing weapon mechanic once you get the hang of it really ups the ante, and gives it a fun little twist. It has other aspects of the "Bullet Hell" Genre too with the enemies. More variation could be helpful, its just rocks and colourful entities, but the enemy attacks are varied, giving you incentive to learn new approaches to overcoming them. You too will learn to hate that blue £$£" who can kill you with his trail. Sadly I haven't tried versus yet but i intend too. I can easily see this been a great pick up and play for a short blast or long score busting session. The title screen and thumping music reminded me of the heyday of 90's pc shareware if your old enough to recall games like Tyrian. 4/5 Great fun, great visuals. In a genre time should never forget and you don't see many of these days.
5/5 Beautiful visuals combined with addictive gameplay and a frankly nostalgic soundtrack make anyone above the age of 25 violently competitive at this game. The pick up and play value of this game far exceeds the asking price. Not to mention once you get the big you'll be gunning for those high scores and competing with your friends for that top spot and ever important bragging rights. Honestly, for less than the price of a takeaway coffee this game is an absolute steal and I can't recommend it enough.
Awesome Asteroids clone. Get the different weapons, upgrade them and maintain maximum score. Addictive and fun.
Genuinely addicting game. Don't know how many times I've felt the itch to just try and beat my high score one more time... It's been a while since I really played anything relatively simple, and this was a pleasant surprise in how entertained I would be progressing through the levels and trying to maintain (as well as upgrade) the various-coloured weapons. It's a creative take on the original Asteroids and keeps you on your toes. The developer has also expanded the input controls to include keyboard and mouse for people like me without a joypad. I did receive this game for free but I will be buying an extra copy anyway as I think it has already been well worth the time I've played it and will continue to play it!
BAPSTARCADE sent this game and Love the Games, reminds me of Atari's Asteroids with updated Graphics and sound
This game does a great job of replicating the physics based game play of the classics Asteroids but stands out with its power up colour changing mechanic and the need to keep switching up your strategy depending on what is going on at any given time. Holding the thrust button will certainly lead to you taking damage and movement needs to be done with absolutely tactical consideration in the more demanding levels. This game is certainly a challenge and is great for short blasts trying to beat your own top score and attain the world number 1 record (looks to be held by the developer for now at the time of writing this review). Have played Vs mode on Steam Remote Play which worked surprisingly well and had a blast ribbing friends on line. Definitely going to be a decent party game when 2 or more friends are around ;-) The game has a fantastic stylised look and the graphics are simple but done to a very high level. Particularly the use of Bloom in the game is a standout and the colours popping off screen make this feel like a modern arcade classic. I hope more people pick this game up and get to experience this standout take on a classic genre! 4 out of 5 for me.
This game is so addictive! Stages are over quickly and the difficulty soon ramps up, controls are on point and the graphics are pretty sharp.
Awesome graphics, controls and brilliantly executed game play. This feels like Asteroids but has so much more depth with the weapon system. Worth more than the developer is asking for sure.
This game is awesome.. Loads of achievements to get and i'm 2nd on the global leader board. This game rocks! (LOL)
A variety of space ships to choose from each with different thrust / turning capability and having their own best primary weapon colour. The controls are a brilliant replica of the original Asteroids. Game play is tight and it gets pretty crowded on screen as you'd expect once you start getting into the higher levels. Nostalgia bone has been tickled a treat by this tidy little indie game. Easy recommendation for the price if Asteroids nostalgia is what you are looking for. Online leader boards will give high score chasers a strong reason to come back for more.
