About

You are a METAMANCER, a self-engineered combatant in a deep-future, unstable world. Every run reshapes the game from the ground up, with procedurally generated sprites, items and maps ensuring no two playthroughs unfold the same way.
Every fight rewards preparation, experimentation and adaptability as you carve your way through a constantly evolving world.

Engage enemies up close with a full melee combat system featuring procedurally generated weapons, armor and shields that support distinct playstyles.
Combat in Metamancer blends build-driven ability design with fast, reactive action. Your core abilities are still created through the Motherboard system, where CPUs, GPUs, RAM, and rare boards define your skills and modifiers. But combat now extends far beyond abilities alone.
Armor comes in multiple tiers with powerful modifiers. Shields regenerate out of combat, encouraging aggressive repositioning and smart timing. Enemies wear the same gear they drop, turning every fight into a meaningful loot opportunity.
The world of Metamancer is fully procedural and constantly shifting.
You’ll explore over ten distinct biomes, from neon-lit city ruins and industrial scrapyards to mutated swamps, data centers, and the wreckage of a fallen orbital station. Each region has its own threats, visuals, and opportunities.
Nothing is static. The map evolves as you play.
Metamancer has four factions that are constantly battling for territory on the world map. The factions are split into two alliance blocks that the player can align themselves with.
As faction territories change, the maps change too. Factions leave a physical mark on the map with strongholds at the centers of their territory. Sometimes you'll see the alliances fighting against each other on world tiles!

This experience brings me back to the days games were made in the MUD! This one has some Angband feels going on for sure! The game is played mostly with the Keyboard and the user is also to read about their encounters as they happen in order to best survive. There is no save game, there is only death a re-start! I have already died a few times to those BLASTED MULTIPLYING MONSTERS! *ZAP ~ZAP~ ZAP* I really like the equipment system, the randomly generated maps, monsters and pixels! I think the game could use a LOT more sound files of strange things for monsters and weapons. Maybe I just haven't gotten far enough. I also would love to be able to use the number-pad 1-9 on the right side of the keyboard for directional movement. So far I am enjoying the experience!
I would love some steam deck support!
This game is a lot of fun and once you get into it its hard to put down. Things progressively get more and more hectic as you go further into the game. It plays like a Traditional Roguelike where you get one life. I'm looking forward to see what the developer adds to the game while its in Early Access. If you like the combat in Caves of Qud and like ARPG aspects like in Diablo, you might want to try this game!
I'm sick of AI looking games with sorry stories, I just want to battle it out and let the chips fall where they may. Metamancer delivered the BOMB! Straight up old school BIG FUN. No comic book characters just pixels and a board. I love the "Motherboard of Stuff" Still getting the hang of that. As you kill off bad guys it gets intense quick, have the board ready and make sure you add some cooling. As the battle heats up so does your CPU just like my beater game computer! This is some 1980's kind of game play. Down and dirty win or lose. Game runs smooth and is a lot faster than I am.
World and enemies are well designed. Dev is very active, giving updates often. Music is 10/10. cant wait to see what happens with the game in the future!
Seems pretty great so far! My only wishes after 30 mins: - I would love mouse support - holding down arrows should create repeated movements when aiming IMO - Is there a way to jump to the next target while aiming? I haven't found it
Diamond in the rough. There are a lot of cool ideas here and the inventory system is fun to engage with, hoping to see some more world interactivity in the future!
Very good concepts. Game is fun, really enjoying building out my robotic death machine. Enjoying 1.0 release!
Took a second to figure out what I was doing but after I did I got into it, cant wait for the updates!
Having a lot of fun so far, the loot is really cool and I love the music. Very good choice if you're into traditional Roguelikes. This one has a unique world that just feels fun to explore. Experimenting with Motherboard Load-Outs is also really cool. Mouse-Support for Inventory managment would be nice to have though
