I think this game is underrated (currently 82%). If you check negative reviews, noone said "it's not fun". It's not a Megaman-like game, and it does not advertise as such. It's a run and gun with more platforming options than your standard Contra. Two negative reviews are actually mixed feelings or mention that the game is "great". One had help from the dev because they missed something, and still left a negative review. One apparently had lag issues, but still played for 4 hours. One complained about hard mode, which, to be fair, I haven't tried, but they spent 13 hours on the game. The game certainly isn't perfect : sometimes it's unclear what is solid or not, some sound effects feel a bit off. But there's a lot to play with : 3 characters, for which you can look for many upgrades. Level gimmicks everytime, which work well. The pixel art is good, and the music is varied. It's nervous and controls are on point. Considering the price it's absolutely worth it and even when it was more expensive it was fair :)
Pretty decent Megaman-like with some flaws that make it feel a little amatuerish. While the graphics, gameplay, and level design are on-par, the sound-effects are awful, the writing is cringe-worthy, filled with grammatical and spelling errors, and overall lacks any good "juice" that would make your hits feel stronger. Overall, it's a fun game that does some unique things. Worth it on a sale if you want a decent run and gun platformer with decent challenge towards the end.
Laggy as hell. Can't continue game after death
A great throwback to action video games from the 90s!
it is a one level demo. i defeated one boss and got to the end of the level. my only option then was to go back the way i came. talk about misleading adverticing. too bad the developer never finished it, because it was a good game otherwise.
Very fun!
Metaloid deserves a play-through if you enjoy platformers and Megaman games. Hope to see another one from the developer.
Metaloid Origin is very reminiscent of MegaMan X. From the game play to upgrading the PC, if you are a fan of MegaMan X or Metroid; this if a game for you. Keep in mind that some of the story has bad english translations. Otherwise it is a decent game that has a nostalgic feel that is fresh and new.
outro fangame de megaman que é simplesmente fofo e divertido. merece muito uma continuação. a proposito, conheci esse jogo quando era pequeno. joguei a versão mobile dele na época.
