About

A nomad wanders the far reaches of an overgrown megastructure, a world built for a forgotten purpose in which countless civilizations have lived entombed for ages.
But when the mech they use to traverse its vast distances breaks, they remain stranded in its hostile wilds beneath a concrete sky.

fantastic
I wasn't familiar with the Megastructure concept but I enjoyed the experience. Level design gets more enticing as you discover new landscapes that make you question how is it even possible whatever you're looking at. The story is fine, mostly fed to you by logs and enviroment. A lot of it is left to your interpretation. Gameplay is responsive. you can jump pretty much anywhere which is essential to exploring in this game. If there's somewhere you think you can reach, chances are you can do it. The combat is mostly fine. There's only three variations of enemies and one final boss but I think they work well in a good pacing for a short game like this one. My only nitpick would be headshots: they don't do as much damage as I would've liked even with the shotgun. Overall pretty cool game. RECOMMENDED

Cool short game with a very cool atmosphere
Great concept, incredibly immersive. A shame it had to be so short.
Dear Aleksandra, I hope it's alright to address you personally since you're only one person. :) So far, I cannot say that I'm a huge fan of mega-structure games because I've played only two, one of which I enjoyed. That being said, I really loved Metal Garden! The mega-atmosphere, the sparse music, the small riddles, and especially the seamless transitions between the different areas all felt like unique pieces of a well-crafted puzzle. I even took the time to get all the achievements because I felt it was worth it (absolutely was, as it made me discover two areas I had missed during my first playthrough). Another thing I appreciated were the customization options, such as infinite health, ammo, and explorer's mode. Every game should have these, but only a few actually do. However, I also found three issues (one biggie, one typo, and one suggestion). Hopefully, you can fix them when you have time: 1) I managed to softlock myself when I destroyed the MC-172 and it fell on top of me, trapping me inside! Quite unfortunate, as I had to reload the last checkpoint and do the
two biggest fight sequences of the entire game
all over again. Maybe it's possible to push the player out of the wreckage? Or temporarily disable the collider until the player is in the clear? 2) Minor typo in the English localization: "Of course, connecting to unknown implants is not without danger, even moreso when their owner no longer breaths." => should be "breathes" (because it's the verb, not the noun). 3) The achievements currently pop up in the bottom right corner, unfortunately overlapping with the ammo display. But I've recently played Steam games (e.g., Gothic 1 Remake) which place their achievement pop-ups in the top right corner. Maybe this is possible for your game, too? Keep up the great work, and I'll be sure to check out any other games you develop in the future!
Excellent visuals and atmosphere. Everything has exactly the right amount of polygons (which is to say, a low amount). Gameplay is smooth; nothing new if you've played Half Life or any other FPS.
Epic Atmosphere
I'm not sure why, but I felt a little morose at the end of this game. The health system is very interesting also. Because of it, hard difficulty is recommended in my opinion.
If you are interested in works of Tsutomu Nihei, Metal Garden is the definitive project to scratch that itch. Gunplay leaves a lot to be desired but it is not the main focus of the game. Vibe, aesthetics and level design are top notch. There are certain shortcomings like variation of enemy models but those can always be improved.
