At this point I am half way through the game, but I wanted to write a review while the game was still fresh in my mind. First off, this is a long game for VR which is almost unheard of. This will easily take me 7-8 hours to beat compared to a lot of VR games that can be beat in 1 hour. This is primarily a platforming game with a dash of RPG elements. A platforming game in VR does sound odd, but it is executed very well. There is also some combat and puzzles sprinkled in to give it some good variety. I would recommend sitting in something like a computer chair so you can swivel while playing instead of standing. This is what I have found works best for me. I have not really played a game like this in VR before and I cannot recommend it enough. At the current sale price of $8 it is an amazing value too.
This game is much more platformer than RPG. Not bad, but not what I was expecting.
I had a lot of fun playing this game, but check out the videos and description to see if it's your sort of game.
An excellent top notch Mario 64 type game. Definitely a 5 star don't miss vr title
Play style is different, different is by no means bad but it's insanely clunky and hard to see what you're doing. I love the idea of this game and playing it in third person, but it's just not well done for third person.
Bought for 20 bucks, expecting compatibility with the Rift as it claims - but whenever I launch the game it crashes immediately and freezes Steam. Not sure if this has to do with my dual GPU setup or what, but my primary monitor and Rift are on the same GPU so I shouldn't be running into any severe issues like this. It does work fine through Oculus Home but not through Steam. The game is a ton of fun when it does work, though.
Seems ok from what I've played so far.
