Fearless Fantasy

Странная игрулька из разряда "D" с очень уродливыми (по хорошему) монстрами. Что хотел заложить автор подобным дизайном не совсем ясно, но сидит на этом давно и плотно. Местами сложно, благо в руководствах есть способы обхитрить это всё и зарашить в кратчайшие сроки.

OSU rpg, pretty fun actually.

I really enjoy the VAs here, I need to look them up at some point, esp the VA for the main villain, Xolas. Otherwise the game has this kinda "Alice In Wonderland" style and I like the art. The problem is, and why I cannot recommend it, the battle system. I put the game on Casual and by Chapter 15 the game gets so hard ON REGULAR ENEMIES that I can't really survive and the enemies will also take turns out of turn, which makes it impossible to heal a dying character. If this game didn't have a "wave" combat system, it'd be so much better and I wouldn't have to pray to Cthulhu to try and actually finish a damn battle. Outside of that, the worse aspect about the game is you need a touchscreen to do the combos effectively; not engaging in effective combos makes you miss hits because of the "Epic attacks" system which is absolutely god awful. I actually bought this game back when I had a touchscreen laptop but I moved up to buying a 240hz monitor and built my own PC around that spec, so I don't have touchscreen anymore which puts me at a huge disadvantage with this game now. It's not easy at all to play this with a mouse.

A short little game if you like to add skill to your turn based combat.

Is this a terrible game? No. It's a turn-based game that uses quick time events to define how well or not your attacks and defenses result. Quick time events are mouse based, so it's moving your mouse a certain way at a certain speed and clicking on certain spots with certain speeds that define it all. Is it frustrating at times? Yes, very. You don't know what attack patterns are. You might get perfect runs and screw up once, and you can pretty much start again. You cannot upgrade a certain skill to the highest level unless you reach certain levels, while the skills you can search for are trash. The upgrades suck as well, unless you do runs over and over until you level up. Quick time events are what drives it all. Is the story or art good? No. Reviews said "the game was super funny" I completed it wondering when the funny bit would start. Enemy design is really ugly - unnecessarily ugly at times. Portraiting is also not amazing. How this got picked up by tinyBuild, no idea. Why the hell did I complete this? Because I wanted to see what the funny bit was, that other reviews talked about. There wasn't. The game doesn't take itself seriously, so I guess at least we have that. And it reminded me a bit about an old flash game that did something similar. In any case - don't waste your time. Not recommended to play. 3/10
