I like the series because it is slow and easy as far as the pace of the game goes.

B Long-time PnC Adventure fan and I've always loved puzzles. These types of games that are heavy on puzzles light on story (as with most HOGs), I actually like to speed run (without a walkthrough.) My time on this game was slightly over 2 hours (I had issues with the game freezing when I would take pictures.) My belief is that just like weight lifting if you get good exercise and repetition with you noggin, challenging problems become very easy. The majority of the puzzles were well designed (even if they didn't fit in the world.) There were a couple of very cleaver ones that slowed me down (one of the first keypads.) There were a couple, however, that were far too much a stretch of logic, one of which I needed a hint. When I play a Adventure game with story and complex puzzles, I still use a physical notebook because I like documenting my path. When I play a game like this, I take screenshots using Steam overlay, and throw those up on my second monitor (this is my speed version of a notetaking ability.) Highly recommend if you haven't tried and saves a lot of back and forth. Also in this game, is an in-game camera that works better than steam screen capture; there is a bug when taking a steam screenshot but you can force a screenshot by clicking on the screen or toggling your inventory. Looking forward to playing all of these from NovaSoft. If they wanted to keep in this genre of light story but heavy puzzles, the only thing I would recommend is to looking at making if fully 3D and I think the immersion would increase significantly. Another path is to deep the story ties and go Penumbra route and get really eerie!
