Good merchant game. The quests and minigames provide a little variety and context, but you've definitely got to like the idea of the primary focus batering and learning what the various locations, professions and individuals want and sell.
Me encanta ir cambiando, vendiendo cualquier cosa e ir mejorando mi caravana jaajjaaj es buenisimo. Y lo mejor de todo funciona muy bien en Ubuntu Linux sin usar la compatibilidad de proton
Great game with evidently lots of love and thought put into. The Good: -Unique bartering system where the value of every item (there are a lot, over a thousand) is not explicitly given. Determining their values can be difficult, as different characters value items differently, and their values also change depending on the location your trying to sell at, time of year, and random market value fluctuation over time. Much of the game is spent determining and memorizing their values. This is surprisingly addictive. -Auctions, horse racing, a card game, and the ability to run your own spice business and build it's share value helped break up the monotony of trading. -Collectathon. There's a system for tracking and highlighting uncollected items making it easier to 100% the game. -Too easy? Multiple difficulty modifiers in the options you can customize on the fly. -Art and music are great. Reminiscent of the old Tradewinds series. The Bad: -Buggy: If you collect too many items the UI will start lagging badly. There is a warehouse mechanic for storing items in different towns which alleviates this somewhat. -Freezes: For a minority of players the game will freeze after ~30 mins of playtime and the dev has been unable to reproduce the issue on their end as of writing.
Crazy addictive and weirdly fun game loop of bartering stuff for stuff and then making out like a bandit and being ridiculously wealthy...feels good when you start to naturally figure out who values what and all that. Take as an example this recent really nice moment where I happened to have plenty of stuff the miner wanted so I bought all of his ore, then offered it to the blacksmith for all of his magical swords, then sold the magical swords to an adventurer for a massive haul of money, now I can use that massive haul of money to purchase valuable rare things from the merchants and do it all over again in an attempt to become the wealthiest merchant in the realm! Also, with all of the characters to discover, I've put lots of hours in and still haven't met anywhere near all of them. So it's neat figuring out who lives where and desires which particular items... Genuinely great trading system that would be fantastic to see in a lot of other games going forward.
This is a terrific concept with an addictive gameplay loop that deserves to be way more popular than it is. The full price is a bit steep for what this game is, but I picked it up on sale (it frequently is discounted) and it is well worth $5 for many hours of entertainment. For reviewers that complain about prices being "confusing".... well, that's the entire point of the game. Every character in the game values items differently, and it's your job to figure out how to make the best deals and turn a profit while adventuring between 20 different locations and talking with 200 different characters. The only improvements that I would like to have would be some QOL adjustments, such as being able to filter item categories more easily, and by having a separate menu or standalone inventory for my Myth deck cards.
I'm gonna preface this by saying that I do genuinely like the game. The bartering mechanic is really good, and there are enough stuff in here to keep you engaged with the system for quite a while, even if only to see numbers go up. But I have this constant feeling of the game not living up to the potential of its systems. The bartering system is amazing, and playing Myth (the in-game card game) is fun too. But everything around it feels half-baked. There are quests and stuff to do like horse betting and auctions, but many of them (especially the quests) don't change the world in any meaningful way.

There's this quest where a local merchant wants to join a masquerade ball to woo the princess. After getting in and failing, he gives you your reward and says he'll do something about it. The following day, the king was found dead. NOTHING HAPPENS AFTER THIS. It's genuinely disappointing, and many quests are like this.
Also, your interactions with the merchants and stuff don't have any meaningful effect. Constantly lowballing someone doesn't make them mad at you, repeated interactions in different places still act like a first encounter, and the world and the people in it just mostly feel static, like they're props in a game. EDIT: I have noticed some changes in the game, though it's limited to dialogue and title changes and
the final debate with the King of Coin.
I still feel that it's not enough changes. Again, I do genuinely enjoy the game. I just wished that they fleshed out the systems surrounding the bartering system more. If they did, I have no doubt that it may just be the best merchanting game of all time.
Great game! Scratches the trading itch I got from games like TF2. It's easy to lose an hour selling your wares
The trade system is really addicting due to the fact you have to guess what something is worth in money or in commodities. Some of the NPC's are real cutthroats which makes it even rewarding when you come back to rip haggle all their stuff away. I would like to see either a DLC or sequel.
I very much like the system and believe that it could be implemented in other games. a recommend from me just cuz i think you should try it out. And ill keep the game because i believe the dev here really has something that if it was incorperated in a more fleshed out rogue-like or sandbox RPG it really could stand on its own two feet competitively against many others in the genre.
