Mercapolis is a city-building game that takes urban development to the next level, blending intricate strategy with stunning visual design. The futuristic city setting is visually impressive, with towering skyscrapers and a sprawling metropolis that you can shape and grow. It’s a game that allows you to be both the architect and the ruler of your own city, giving you the freedom to design everything from the ground up. The core gameplay revolves around managing resources, building essential infrastructure, and keeping your citizens happy, but what really stands out is how dynamic and engaging the city-building aspect is. The buildings are highly customizable, and the mechanics behind them allow for a lot of creative freedom in planning your city. As you expand, you’ll face new challenges, from economic balancing to the welfare of your population. One of the most enjoyable aspects of Mercapolis is the level of detail that goes into the management of your city. Each decision you make has a tangible impact on the growth and success of your metropolis. Whether it's ensuring there's enough power for your skyscrapers or solving traffic jams, every challenge feels rewarding to solve. The game does a fantastic job of balancing complexity with accessibility, making it easy to pick up but difficult to master. As you progress, the challenges get more intricate, which keeps the gameplay fresh and engaging. Mercapolis is perfect for players who enjoy city simulation games and want a dynamic, futuristic setting with endless possibilities.

Fun, if a bit buggy. Sometimes shelves refuse to place, at times responding as if they can't be placed within a certain spacing of a wall that another shelf was clearly able to be placed by. Something about click registration with certain objects has poor response. I'll have moments where employees refuse to work certain places despite having full stamina. Had an animation lock where a thief came into my store and my employee slowly approached them because they were stuck in their cleaning animation, ultimately failing to stop the thief. Had a fire start in my grocery store that I couldn't put out because an employee was locked in cleaning animation. Additionally, expanding your building will sometimes bug out as well and you'll have to close and re-enter building mode multiple times to finally click on squares outside of your grocery store. While I had no real problem with this I know these are things that are deal breakers for other people, so to be honest my review would rather rate this game w/ a 'meh' middle ground, however seeing as steam doesn't have a 'maybe' option I'll mark it as a 'no'. The game just came out, so I'm sure the bugs will eventually be fixed, but until then if small things like this stack up for you, I'd recommend at least trying the game for a little bit.
¡Muy buen juego y muy divertido! Me gustan también mucho los gráficos y las animaciones. Además, llega un momento en que engancha. ¡Enhorabuena!
Pretty decent supermarket manager that allows the player to engage it like more of a city builder rather than the popular 3rd person perspective as of late. Getting the right employees and setting the appropriate priority tasks for them is key. While obtaining product and setting it up for sale is fairly easy, the big kicker is in the "events" that can occur throughout the shift to throw a wrinkle in your plans to stack profits: - Thieves showing up to steal your goods. - Graffiti artists tagging the outside of the supermarket. - etc. The main impact here is that you either have to pay money to deal with the consequence at the end of the day or you have to take an employee and get them to address it during the shift without the cost. However, the sheer volume of events that can trigger at once can get overwhelming real fast if you don't have a lot of employees to begin with. The one silver lining is that customers tend to gobble up your products extremely fast, which should theoretically make them more available for "events". It would be nice if there was some way to see a more granular representation of who's buying what at the register to make it easier for the player to see how much they should be buying and stocking each day based on customer traffic and the size of their supermarket. In addition, you can also use real time pause before buying new products so you aren't burning time during the shift while you browse the selection.
I think the "events" that can occur during a shift is going to be what sets this game apart from a lot of the others. If they can keep those manageable, entertaining and challenging throughout early-end game, I think it'll pay of quite nicely.
Muy buen juego, al principio se hace un poco coñaxo pero luego se vuelve muy divertido
My play through is short so take it as u will. This felt is can be more fun than it offers right now. Like when the graffiti vandals came, they should have some hilarious interaction like throw them some firecrackers, or when a thief came, do some wrestling suplex move on those criminal. Instead on both interaction we just get same animation with stocking shelves. That was lame. Some problem I see with the game is npc characters clipping with each other at spawn point & not moving. Another is when fire broke out the workers should automatically drop whatever they do & prioritize the fire, but they might just ignore it or worse, we (the player) can barely contain it simply because we accidentally clicked at the trash right in front of the fire. So the worker wash the floor instead. It's hilarious at 1st but get frustrating fast. Sometimes I also wonders what is it that made my sales terrible for the day, but the game wasn't telling much & I can't help but assume it's a bug. Because at the end of the day the result say "health inspection officer say my store is good -500".......or "the customer say they were happy-100" but the non moving npc stuck at spawn point simply not making a purchase. Also when "A" truck came, i do not understand what is it suppose to mean? is the truck suppose to steal my customer? is the listed store item in the truck meant these item won't sell at our store because the customer will buy on the truck instead? but I barely see interaction from npc with the truck so until end of the day, I just let things roll as it. Yes the result were low sale for that day. I wish the best for the devs & lets hope they will make this game better. Thanks for making it free.
