MeowFall

"MeowFall" is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. This is a godawfully generic platformer that looks like it was kitbashed out of a basic Unreal Engine 2D platformer template (with possibly asset flipped tilesets). The only thing this has going for it is that it includes cats, and when that's the sole contribution something makes to the gaming industry, while we all like cats, this "game" is utterly valueless. Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Insultingly, the developer used a bunch of GPT AI slop for the Steam store page and marketing material. AI slop is an insult to gamers everywhere, it's trained on copyrighted material without permission. Worse, if they had no qualms about using it here, there's no telling how much of the rest of this product is also vibe coded or made with AI slop. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at [b]only 4 concurrent players[/b]... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Given that this free title won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.

super difficult! way more than the average gamer can deal with! At first I found it comical that every single thing I did was wrong, but then it got rediculous!

top 3 worst game oat, sometimes they dont allow you to move like hello? its a prrescicion game you can be limited by small stuff like that and fps limit cap is 144 like wtf? this is a pixel game and i need 360 fps to play stuff like this

Кроме того, реклама может появляться довольно часто, что иногда раздражает. Тем не менее, если вы ищете простую и расслабляющую игру, чтобы скоротать время, 'MeowFall' – отличный выбор. Она идеально подходит для коротких игровых сессий на телефоне. В целом, рекомендую, но будьте готовы к некоторой повторяемости.

Vsunc можно а то ГПУ на 100%? А по игре так это страдания, нравятся конечно неожиданные повороты, тут их много, но чтобы пройти дальше надо постоянно одно и тоже, такое мне не нравится, может кто то и любит долбиться, ой, ну то есть если хотите проверить на сколько вас хватит и любите сюрпризы то прошу. Дополнение! Разработчик сделал фикс на vsync, это класс, но как я посмотрел все же ГПУ грузится, пусть и меньше. Причина это выбор движка и/или оптимизация т.к. GameUserSettings изменив тут все прелести графики(что даже и не увидел разницы), получил прирост еще в 30% к производительности, да моя карта не лучшая hd7850 2gb но и игра выглядит "просто". но все же фаново, пока у вас не сгорит, очень даже вкусно и музыка эта тутИ ту тАти тутИ ту тАтА, балдеж)
