Awful game, I bought it on the steam deck mainly for the AI charting feature and it’s just so bad. Even with the simplest song it struggles with lyrics. And I was only able to test that feature because I had to manually select the .mp3 file. Because the game wouldn’t recognize folders no matter what drive it was in or how the folders were labeled. DO NOT BUY ON THE STEAM DECK
Of all the karaoke games I've played, this one is quite frankly one of the worst. I dont mean its bad, but when I rank it amongst the other popular Karaoke apps, I was expecting so much more out of this one, considering it actually cost money. I had no issue with paying with the assumption I was going to get a BETTER experience than the free apps (Ultrastar, etc). Its mostly on par with the other apps, and in some cases, not as good. My 'dream' for this software was something I could setup and it would be easily navigable by anyone. But upon trying to play, I'm having difficulty just navigating the menu and song folders in a nice straightforward way. Considering this setup was for my family, this game isn't cutting it. I imagine the AI and remove vocal features work nice, I haven't tested them, but the presentation and accessibility, TO ME, is the most important part. This should be able to be easily controlled by a kid with a controller who wants to play with his friends, but instead I'm stumbling through getting it to work the way I want to as an adult. Again, not saying its bad, but it should be better than its free counterparts. I do like the different modes it has, and the additions that are available, but the inability to scroll through song folders [which are well organized by artist] was a pain. Changed the navigation mode to folder only made it worse than just scrolling to the right for a long time. This should be the first part perfected. All the other features matter little if its not as polished as other Karaoke systems.
Trop bien pour les karaoke en famille !
It's still very buggy and prone to crashing. I'd love for all of the features to work as advertised but as it stands they don't. The free competitors (who I won't name out of respect for the dev) have fewer advertised features but they function so they're better.
One of the best karaoke software on the internet. If you wanna find songs I can recommend USDB. The only problem is Linux compatibility. It works through Proton, but there is a bug that plays the songs twice with a slight delay, making it essentially impossible to sing to. This is most likely a problem with music videos, since I did not experience this bug when playing songs without music videos. Still very good tho. I've used an old open source version for a couple months and now finally upgraded to the Steam version. Worth every Euro!
Good ultrastar game. The phone app makes it so easy to control and play anywhere.
UltraStar devs deserve all the support they can get. Thank you for everything!
I'm so glad I found MM. I grew up playing Karaoke Revolution, Rock Band, and Just Sing all through high-school and my early adult life and am stoked to be able to have a similar play style with a truly endless music selection. Spent a couple hundo on a wireless mic setup so friends and family can sing in the living room while my PC runs it across the house. Steam Link through Apple TV works wonderfully. I don't use the AI tools/song creator but I also wouldn't ding the game based on an additional feature. Is it perfect? Not yet. UI can be a bit wonky and some things are inconsistent - but it's absolute fun for everyone.
