Meeple Incremental

Game is really relaxing and satisfying to play. Only 2-3 hours to complete & get all achievements, but has a PRESTIGE system that will allow you to replay the game from the start with new unlocks. Really cool feature! I'm guessing you can get somewhere around 10-30 hours of play time out of the game if you want to max the Prestige progression? Maybe more? It's well worth the money.

So many of these game are homogenous husks promising x, y, and z while delivering z, z, zero. Not this one, thankfully. It's a short (about 2.5 hours or so unless the prestige options intrigue you) and polished example of what old flash games used to be. If 5 - 6 dollars doesn't justify the 2ish hour timeframe I totally understand, but if your inhibitions instead stem from so many previous disappointments within the genre... then take a deep breath and have a great time. It's good.

A very enjoyable game about meeples, and an engaging and unique take on the genre that had me hooked.

Meeple Incremental is a good incremental game, with simple graphics and easy to understand progression and upgrades. It is not ground breaking or mind blowing but is fun for a few hours. Positives: - Easy to understand upgrade system, with a skill tree that is actually useful and clear. - I love how the idler is set up like a Monopoly board, it gives it a level of uniqueness. Though, there are few other unique features. - The collectables were a nice touch! Mixed: - The soundtrack lacks variety, and one of the tracks sounds almost like music you'd have in a lift (elevator) or whilst being put on hold. - A rudimentary prestige system. It's good to extend the game, but my issue with it is the fixed rate of prestige coin gain (at 25) which discourages gaining more currency than the bare minimum needed to prestige. I may give the game another go though after prestiging and it does give some replayability value! - The minigames are okay, but nothing special. They quickly become a little irrelevant after you automate them and they can be so much better. For example, the clicker minigame can have its own individual upgrades and have a game within a game almost! Negatives: - The "luck" skill is not explained at all. I have no idea what it does, and it didn't seem to affect gameplay much. - The game is a bit too slow at the start. 6.5/10: I've never given a half number before, but this game absolutely belongs between a 6 and a 7.
