The games an endless runner, it has a lot of work put into it but it takes way too long to get enough coins to unlock anything outside of a few random upgrades, which makes the game very boring after only a few routes.
I came in expecting a Mega Man-like, all I got was an endless runner. Not even a decent one, mind you. This one is made to look like Mega Man, has a nice setting, and... That's all the redeeming qualities. The gameplay is super repetitive, the level generation too; in the span of a minute it felt like I've every variation of the rooms, I thought multiple times it was just the same chain of room. The room design isn't even good, they're super easy to get around and most of the difficulties lies in the ennemy type and their placement. Most of the time, you can kill them or evade them easily, other times it is made just so they hit you or something else because it's random. It just sucks. I don't know how long a level is, but I got tired of the first one after the second boss. I even thought for a sec that the third boss was actually the same as the first one; I was pleasently surprised because I expected the dev to be lazy. The third boss was also another boss that suffers a lot by the type of the game, making it super hard to beat and survive.
https://youtu.be/HlSQe5B9PNs Moving at a glacial pace while in levels is rough moment to moment but requiring dozens of hours collecting resources to add variety is simply unreasonable.
Dear dev. Let the reviews speak for themselves. This formula simply doesn't work, but the concept of a roaming endless Mega Man runner is cool. If you want success, give the players full control of the character. Otherwise, like it already shows, the game is just gonna get crapped on countless times. The frame pacing is extremely poor, that's just a side effect of the engine being used and can't be reconciled. I think with completely free range movement, a little randomization in the levels, more AI, and some of the characters sprites changed, this game could be golden and probably one of the best free Mega Man clones on here right now. Currently, the frame pacing is poor, timing is not good, weapons sometimes don't do what they need, and some boss fights are flat out unfair and the frame timing prevents them from the chance of ever being fair. I wouldn't waste your time on it until the dev chooses to listen and update it. Plenty of people have said it, give the game full control, fix the game, etc. Until then, download it since it's small in size, but wait for the update to actually play it.

16XX yılında Mecha-Tokyo şehri tuhaf ve güçlü yokailerin istilasına uğradı! Nereden geldiler ve şehri neden yok ediyorlar? Onları bulup durdurmak Giga, Tera ve diğer süper robotlara kalmış!
Mecha-Tokyo Rush is a 2D retro pixel endless runner with platformer/shooter elements that's been slapped together with the godawful GameMaker Studio video game construction kit from Yoyogames. It's a 1990's NES/Japanese themed stylistic ripoff of Metroi, but with dumbed down endless runner gameplay. All you do is run to the right, shoot and jump. The quality here is pretty bad, a lot of effort seems to have gone into filling out the templates in GMS, and making custom retro pixel assets instead of copying someone elses, but then it doesn't take much time, talent or effort to stamp out a retro pixel sprite, that's why indie devs love pixel "art" so much. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC. GameMaker Studio is a very poor quality game construction kit, and unsurprisingly results in products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. Using a video game construction kit requires little to no talent or skill as a game developer. Very often, GameMaker Studio is used to make shovelware and lazy cash grabs, although in this case the game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. There's no "maybe" option in Steam, unfortunately, but I hope to see more work from this developer, perhaps as part of a professional game development company that can make full use of their talents without needing to make budget/quality compromises like pixel art and using off the shelf game templates and construction kits.
