Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/jEkOElNQdNk This is an online multiplayer pvp-focused hero shooter. It does remind me a little of Overwatch. It also has some single-player content in the challenges, but also you can play against bots. I tried playing online multiplayer, but there weren't other players online so I only played 3v3 against bots (you can also go for 2v2 or 1v1). There are 3 different main modes: casual, competitive, & the challenges. Within casual & competitive, there are different game types, including death match or capture the objective. There's also the now normalized, game store where you can unlock different cosmetic items and also the upgrades / skills with level ups. You can choose different mechs with different abilities at the start of the game (how you change after, I don't know). Not being able to play against other players online, I don't feel it's fair to rate this game. So I will put a question mark. What I can say is that the single-player content isn't very good. The challenges are boring. The bots aren't very fun to go against. So I would currently only recommend this to someone who has 5 friends with online multiplayer & VR and these 5 friends are all willing to buy this game. Game is running on the Unreal Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting steady 72 fps (Quest 3 default). I did not experience any serious issues or bugs. You have full locomotion and snap or smooth turning available. You can play comfortably seated. Rate ?/10.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. 👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑⠀⠀⠀

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
Follow Third group
English: The mecha party continues, and after the dystopian beating fun in Underdogs, we now have the exact opposite. Shanghai Chenni Network has released Mecha Party, a colorful arcade MOBA shooter. The short, crude story matches the colorful setting. Toy companies have brought small minimechs onto the market that can be controlled using VR technology. These now compete against each other in special arenas. Mecha Party doesn't offer much in terms of gameplay. We sit or stand virtually in our mech. The controls are simple, but don't feel like a robot. We're practically jetting around instead of running. However, this may also have been due to the model I chose. My character, a nurse cat, had a syringe as a weapon on my right arm and I could perform a special attack with my left. As is usual in the genre, there are goodies hidden in the various areas that we can collect. If our mech reaches a higher level by successfully completing various missions, new areas can be unlocked. Mecha Party not only offers simple 1vs1 matches, but also surprises us with things like time trials etc. As a single-player game, however, Mecha Party isn't much good, as we can only fight against totally bored bots that we can simply shoot down emotionlessly like in a shooting gallery. Unfortunately, the multiplayer is no better, as it is suffering from a lack of players, and not just at the moment. Given the current price, this is unlikely to change any time soon. However, I was lucky enough to find another player. Unfortunately, even then there was no real fun to be had. An interesting bug made it possible for the opponent to shoot backwards, so to speak. We sneak up on the enemy, which is typical for a mech, it raises its gun and clearly shoots forwards, away from us. Nevertheless, we take damage and go down. The graphics in Mecha Party are colorful and clearly point to the mobile VR market. Simple arcade fun with colorful mechs that is apparently still buggy. Hence a thumbs down. Possibly worth a look for real fans, but then rather in the sale. 👀More real Party on🎊 my curator page. 👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑⠀⠀⠀

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
Follow Third group
Mech suit, decent upgrade elements, cuteness, beautiful graphics , what more could you ask for ? This is really a fresh air among VR games. TBH I am not even a fan of mech games , for example I tried Vox Machina a year ago and it was a very forgettable experience for me. But I dived right into Mech Party. The game doesn't give you over-complicated control scheme, like in other mech games, you gotta push 100 different buttons or pull 3 levers at the same time just to move your mech suit. In Mech Party, it is very very very simple and easy to get into. Then you will instantly get the guilty pleasure of destroying AI robots. The game doesn't have any 'story' as far as I know, but it has a somewhat single player challenge mode, which gives different challgens, ranging from kill-all to hide and seek. You won't get bored too fast. You also receive credits for killing AI bots , and you can use those credits to upgrade your mech suit/ weapon / customize mech appearances etc. Once you reach level 4 (yes, there is a progress system ), multiplayer mode will unlock. But unfortunately at this moment there has not been any player base yet. I sincerely wish more people jump and board so we can shoot each other in different mech suits . With anime style characters and bgm etc, you know :) Final verdit, this is a solid 6/10 game imo. It doesn't have great ambition but it did what it could pretty properly
Did not expect too much at the beginning, but Mecha Party proves to be a surprisingly decent game. Casual gameplay with nice art style that matches the theme. Control is clear and easy. Played for about half an hour, very fun.
Picked this up out of curiosity. The game looks nice, cool art style and various mech options to choose from. It offers some upgrades and a few play styles with various difficulty levels. However, you have to grind a little bit to unlock mechs, upgrades and additional difficulty levels. The AI is pretty non-threatening in the initial difficulty setting. Think it's fine for casual players but if you love hardcore all out war you may have to unlock the additional difficulty levels to feel challenged in single player mode. Haven't unlocked much yet so don't know how challenging it would get nor have I unlocked additional mechs ect .. so I can only speak based on initial gameplay. Looks like it may offer some decent replay value once you get additional mechs and unlock hard and expert mode. As far as multi-player, I couldn't get a game going. There aren't enough players available to play against. With that said, single player mode may be good enough if you don't mind playing against bots and grinding it out for a bit. I did have to use a custom WMR map offered by someone on Steam in order to get my HP Reverb G2 WMR motion controllers to function properly. The A & B buttons did not work until I activated the custom controls available via Steam controller map options.
