I've enjoyed it, it's a fun game. Picking both a pilot and a mech to start a new run with means that even with the same mech you can switch things up. In one of the few games vs a person I played we brought out a Medusa and a Taurus, and just blew the heck out of each other. In another, I got chipped away at by a Dodo until my behemoth fell over. It's quite well balanced for pvp so far, I like how the power creep works in your favor for the main game mode. Looking forward to what the developer does to improve on this already good game.
I like that you see the options available to your opponent, deciding which cards to play based on which they have available is an interesting puzzle.

It is finally out and it is glorious! Yes I received a promotional copy but would happily buy a game like this. If you like roguelites and deck building games, you will have a great time here. I made a video on the game if you'd like to see some gameplay (sadly starfox was added in post, copyright is what it is) https://youtu.be/S8llbldDR5Y
Review: Saturday 26, November, 2022 It's a pretty nice game to be honest. I watched some streamers months ago play it and like the gamepley of it, but it didn't look (graphically speaking) very nice to me at that time. Now with the last update, I thought it looked good so I bought it (I had it on my wishlist waiting). Well, I'm happy with the new adquisition. It's not the most complex game, but it's very fun. I hope the developer keeps adding more content to it, I would even bought an expansion DLC if he keep improving it. Score: 4.5 of 5 stars for me. But it goes to my favorites collection. Conclusion: If you like mechs and you like tactical games you should try this game. Recommended.
Mech Shuffle, developed by PillBugGames, is a distinctive fusion of strategy and card battler that rises above the competition in the indie game market. Offering a unique twist on the traditional card game genre, Mech Shuffle provides an experience that is both familiar and innovative, challenging players to master its strategic gameplay and earn new weapons and upgrades along the way. At its core, Mech Shuffle focuses on building a strategic deck by selecting your PILOT and MECH, each with unique abilities and playstyles. Set in a sci-fi universe, the game challenges players to defend their planet from an impending invasion. One of the most intriguing aspects of Mech Shuffle is its perfect information system. Unlike many card games where players must rely on luck or guesswork, Mech Shuffle allows players to see their opponent's hand, enabling them to plan their turns more effectively and strategically. This feature adds a layer of depth and complexity to the game, rewarding skillful play and strategic decision-making. The dynamic deck-building component allows players to adapt and refine their strategies as they salvage weapons and upgrades to enhance their mechs. The game's battlefield adds another layer of strategy, as players must scout the area, secure key points, and repel invaders using perfect information about the battlefield and their opponents' capabilities. Mech Shuffle offers diverse game modes, including a roguelite campaign for a challenging, replayable experience and ranked matchmaking for competitive play. The game's pixel art graphics evoke a sense of nostalgia, while the retro aesthetic complements the sci-fi theme. The sound design further enhances the immersive experience. In conclusion, Mech Shuffle expertly combines strategy, deck-building, and sci-fi elements to create a deeply engaging and satisfying gameplay experience. Its innovative mechanics, dynamic gameplay, and captivating visuals make it a must-play for genre enthusiasts. A very interesting PvP puzzle game where you and another Mech battle it out. You juggle several different factors (Damage/shield types, heat, and energy) against your opponent. It plays really smoothly, and there's a great online PvP system set up. Well worth a try and I'm up for any challenger!!
This game is really good. Open information changes everything and makes this card game quite unique in the plethora we can find nowadays. Lots of possible combos, card upgrades for PVE (for now, early 2023), Ranked PvP and last but not least pretty well balanced for its age. If you like mechs and especially (I suppose) the fasa battletech world it will add a special flavor. So tired of having the same "STS clone", try this, I guess you will have some fun for the low cost.
With the August update the game is great
An underrated gem. A fresh and interesting combat system. Very little fluff in the way, visuals are focused more on clarity. The enemy AI is unfortunately pretty iffy, but the singleplayer campaign is generally balanced well enough to keep you on your toes.
A slightly rough-around-the-edges deckbuilder that quickly becomes addictive
