MCAS Simulation isn't a game, it's a series of 8 "educational" demonstrations regarding airline Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS) and the role it played in two major air disasters. There's no gameplay, all you do is watch the simulation and move the camera around (which adds little to the experience). The whole thing could have been a Youtube video. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the player if they win, and then if the player survives, they repeat that loop. There's no loop here, no true interactive feedback. It simply is not a game, it cannot be "played". Trying to address political issues through the medium of video games is misguided and can be harmful. While it's plausible to suggest the intention was noble, this can do more harm than good. Game developers are not professionals in areas of social politics and government, and when they use video games to pretend they are, this can cause far more harm than good. It's my opinion that it's improper to use video games to push political or social agendas. This offers zero benefit to PC gamers. People trying to address political problems should consult their government for help rather than going to crap shovelware video games attempting to get sales by exploiting such problems for their own benefit, as is the case here. There might be a tiny bit of leeway here if this was a free software product with the noble intention of informing and educating, but it isn't. Kayo Games are trying to charge $6 USD for this. That's right, they're trying to profit from the two major air disasters. They want your money. They even put this into game bundles to try extract as much money as possible. This is completely reprehensible.
