Growing up, I’ve always felt different. I’ve had a hard time paying attention in school, I had trouble connecting with other people, and it’s been an absolute nightmare trying to keep a steady job. I just don’t feel like I belong, sometimes; like, no one understands me. Now, I’m currently writing this in solitary confinement, due to shall we say a little misunderstanding; and it’s really given me a lot of time to think about this. So let me tell you that I speak with no hyperbole that Mayonnaise Simulator is the most beautiful and impactful game I’ve ever played. No media is more important to me than this. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s start from the beginning: Mayonnaise Simulator is a visual novel aimed squarely at adult audiences. The gimmick should be apparent pretty quickly: all the main characters are sentient, anthropomorphic condiments. Our protagonist is one Manny Mayonnaise, a seemingly ordinary man trying to get by making a living at a dead end job; his co-worker/secret crush is Katie Ketchup, with that other annoying lady co-worker named Maggie Mustard. Manny’s best friend since childhood is Bernard Barbecue; Manny’s boss who he just cannot stand is Rick Relish; and we even have a celebrity cameo of sorts in the form of Chummley Chutney, played by Chummley, most known for his role as Chummley from Pawn Stars. and let me just say before I forget, Chummley is great; and I was really surprised at how much he was in the game. I thought he was just going to be like a one off famous guy cameo, but no, he’s actually a full character. Anyway, so Mayonnaise Simulator is one of those narratives with multiple choices, with your actions changing where the story goes, eventually leading you to one of many good or bad endings. The real sense of depth comes when you realize that the branching paths have branching paths of their own; like if you suck up the courage and confess your feelings to Katie, there’s a chance that -depending on your past choices- she’ll say no; and even IF she says yes, there’s a chance you might offend her later on and she’ll break up with you anyway. Now, I didn’t actually go in this next story route myself as it was a bit too dark for even my standards, but I saw this streamer guy Hasan playing, and he chose the rampage route, which switches the game up into an FPS-esque part, where you head to your office and go on a killing spree…. let me tell you, I was shocked. Now, you might think that Mayonnaise Simulator is throwing all these mature topics at the wall just for the sake of having mature topics; and while I think it’s more a matter of opinion, it is my take that they handle their heavy material very well. Life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Getting up in the morning can be hard. People sometimes suck. But on the other hand, actions have consequences, everyone has their own reasons, and keeping everything inside can be harmful. It’s just like what the Jared Leto Joker said: “Madness is like gravity; it only takes a little push!”. And that’s when the simplicity of the message hit me: we are all Manny Mayonnaise. We are all fighting our own personal battles, and it only takes a single bad day for us to just snap. I can’t state just how impressed I am with Mayonnaise Simulator’s production values, especially since this is a one man team, and his first project, no less. The visuals are incredibly detailed; matching near photo-realistic locations and backgrounds with more animated looking characters. I think the mixing of accurate bodies and limbs with jars and bottles of condiments was certainly an odd choice for character direction, but the game makes it work; giving them plenty of expression and letting their personalities shine. Plus, a couple of the designs do make me feel… something. To quote Jared Leto again, look at that hunka hunka! Now, it’s up to interpretation, but I personally think the whole “food people” thing is a metaphor; like, the cast isn’t literally a bunch of walking talking food. This is how Manny sees himself and his peers. Think about it; aside from Manny’s group, everyone else looks like an ordinary Joe. Granted, we don’t actually talk to anyone outside of the main cast, but it’s still a clue regardless. The “food” visual could be a direct manifestation of how each person feels to Manny; Maggie Mustard being alright to hang out with others, but being terrible on her own; Rick Relish being overwhelmingly sour and nauseating in large doses, and Manny himself being thick, fatty, and almost comically pale. Despite unconventional designs, the characters all feel like real, compelling people; hurt not at all by some stacked voice work. Seriously, we’ve got Doug Walker as Rick Relish, Hailey Welch as Maggie Mustard, Christian Bale as Manny Mayonnaise?? The man is an absolute chameleon when it comes to acting. And of course, Chummley does a phenomenal job; but we already knew he had it in him. He’s in Pawn Stars. The music is also super impressive, both with the powerful yet surreal orchestral score, and the dozen or so needle drops. The Robbie Williams Come Undone scene specifically was really well done, with the new rendition matching the themes perfectly while still sounding awesome in its own right. It really is pure genius . Doing so much with so little. I should probably give some context to why I’m writing this in prison. It’s a funny story, see, I was just doing my own thing, playing Mayonnaise Simulator at the checkout at Walgreens, when I suddenly became aware that the person behind me was watching my screen. He looked at me straight in the eyes, and said without a hint of humor, that what I was watching was slop. that that is the reason why ram prices and electricity are so high. that this game of anthropomorphic condiments is why children in far out countries don’t have good water to drink. I told him that he was full of crap, and that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about; and he was just like huh I know you are but what am I? looking all smug. I couldn’t control myself. I grabbed him, did a little “improvised chiropractic work”, and separated his back from his spine. He died pretty much instantly, and it turns out he was some big name philanthropist Youtuber dude or something. I don’t know. Anyway, I pleaded guilty, the trial lasted only like ten minutes, and I was sentenced to six or so months in the slammer. This is probably for the best. Gives me time to reflect; and replay Mayonnaise Simulator. Mayonnaise Simulator has awakened something within me. I feel seen. I feel loved. I feel good for the first time in ages. I am a changed man. I always laughed when people said a story or something changed their life, but now I’m a believer. And the game didn’t take millions of dollars or big triple A studios to make it; they just had passion. Good writers, good artists, and good actors; all together. It all just feels so raw and genuine. I will never forget this game as long as I live; and now I want to dedicate myself into helping the Manny Mayonnaise in my own life. You may not know what another person is going through, but you could always be there for them. Thank you, Mayonnaise Simulator.
best game in my live
Mayonnaise Simulator has to be the best game I have ever played, most games these days are AI slop or made for you to spend money. Mayonnaise simulator is different. The hand drawn covers, the dedication to details, and the lack of in game purchases. The creators of Mayonnaise Simulator is some one who truely cares about it's players. While new games are ment to be bought, Mayonnaise Simulator is ment to be enjoyed. The music, the rendering, the satiffying click when you shoot are all aspects of the game I enjoy. Infact, I don't think there are any aspects of Mayonnaise Simulator to not enjoy. If Mayonnaise Simulator were to get an update, I would surely play.

This game is one of the best games I have ever played.
The gameplay is impeccable and could never be beat. It's if CS2 was mixed with condiments. The lore is even crazier. Best game ever.
10/10
Peak gaming experience.
