This game, which opened with hope, has become ruined with so-called "updates" which destroyed its playability. Ball-carriers unexplainably run in slow-motion. Pass plays inexplicably become run plays. There's no way for users to adjust the gameplay in any real sense. The game is barely playable at all. Did you create your own team? Now it's gone, lost in ether. Maximum Football has been rendered almost useless.
Wanted to love it so bad but the franchise mode is bug ridden and it runs horribly on steamdeck.. gameplay and franchise should have been priority over ultimate team. Legitimately i was ready to buy the full franchise for $20

Game that had potential, now seems like another waste. With news of college and pro version being linked, and decent graphic for a small team, I decided to get the game and even get the franchise pack, as I was supporting what looked to be a promising start. Now, after a while of being released, it is clear that getting the game running correctly is just not a priority, and scamming people with their MPL (ultimate team) to make a few bucks on the way down is all that is left. I just started up a dynasty just to see if there were any improvements, and not really. I can onside kick with about a 90% success rate, With any decent RB you can run all over any defense. Defenders can cover great one play in m2m, and then the next look like they are wearing concrete shoes. Don't ask about zone coverage, watch people abandon zones and ignore the WR's in their zone too many times. This is not even listing the actual bugs, just things in gameplay. Save your money, and pray for a development team to make an actual worthy foe to Madden one day.
I was excited to hear about an alternative to Madden that focused on the things Madden has forgotten over the years. At first it felt like an unfinished version of Madden, but I could live with that because they seemed to be trying to improve and tweak on a regular basis. So I'd play few minutes here and there after each update to see if it was worth diving into, hoping that the changes would continue and it would be tweaked into a great game that fills a gap in the market. But lo and behold... with the most recent updates, it's all about card packs and online play. Why would I want to play a crappier version of Madden with no real players? This game should have focused on customization of players, teams, stadiums, uniforms, playbooks, plays, etc. and let the community share their creations. EA has neglected their single player dynasty mode for a long time. A simple menu interface to quickly make changes. In-depth draft tools, combine workouts, and practice modes that help the team prepare. Advanced analytics and stat tracking. Deep GM control of every aspect of the team. Complex trades and contracts. Having this can at least cover up for decent gameplay. But instead, they decided to chase the golden goose and focus on card packs and online play.
This game is very lame an not very realistic at all. First of all I completed the pass techniques perfectly in the tutorial and it still said it was wrong. All your quarterback will ever do is throw interceptions and the ball gets knocked loose on every drive. Basically you; the player are at a peewee level against nfl level. This game is complete trash don't play it.
Ouch. Had the potential to be maddens competitors, but instead they want to be maddens copycat.
Probably the worst football game I have ever played, and it was free
this game is terrible its no fun at all you cant beat the computer Bring on Madden!!
IS THIS THE MADDEN KILLER!??? F no this game sucks, everything outside of exhibition asks for money. I expected the bare minimum out of this game and I didnt even get that. Every single thing besides what you are currently wearing on your character requires you to make an in game purchase.
good game
