Got the first game way back when and cleared it thinking it was a nice little silly game with a fun story and interesting characters to both get to know and eventually date. I wasn't expecting these guys to produce a second game and then tease us with 2 in between ones. I've only just started the second game and dragged a friend of mine into it and he's busy clearing the first one and I'm only like 6 hours in and I'm loving it. A lot of my favorite characters are still here and I get to enjoy more shenanigans and see some unexpected questions get answered but unfortunately since it's the other end of the story I have a bunch that can only be answered in the middle games. Oh well guess I'm gonna be solving crime as a busty blonde male gone fully female in this rather silly and funny VN Point and Click story game
I really enjoy this game .Would love to see Max go back to becoming a Ditz .Maybe someone or a witch could get that as revenge in a new Chapter
I've played all games from this creator starting back with GBDNATE, MBB, A&B, and now MBB2. They have all been at times, ridiculous, funny, or ridiculously funny. They're my favorite visual novel style games. Other VNs may be sexier, have a grander plot, or allow you to make more/bigger choices, but I always come back for more from LachedUp. These games make you smile. The dialogue does not beg to be skipped by oversupplying you with endless needless text. I liked Fate Stay Night, it's one of the greatest stories ever told, but the VN was definitely guilty of this. In Max's Bigger Bust, the story keeps moving along and new events are always happening. The world is a cheery place with random bizarre occurrences. I would like to see some more "Ow, my spine" electrocution moments, but maybe that's just me. I think that Dani (It was great to see Dina again. Still crazy, still inappropriate, still awesome) should meet Holly at some point. There would be great opportunity for mischief and humor there. There are choices to make, minigames to partake in, and instances where Holly sexually harasses her colleagues. Good stuff so far! Keep the updates coming, mate.
I played this since it first appeared in early access and finally I managed to find some time and write this review: Max's Big Bust 2: Max's Bigger Bust is visual novel that continues story of Max Newling, a cop working in Axon City in Australia and boy this universe is wild. I will keep spoilers to necessary minimum about what happened in the past but enough being said that someone inside one of previous games compared what happen to writing plot for Japanese romantic comedy. And trust me that comedy is strong in this one, even stronger than previously. If you are afraid about entering the world without playing previous games, don't worry, the game includes recap of all event's necessary to know. It's new player friendly. Humor, comedy, jokes, no matter how you call it, is strong point of MBB2, the whole visual novel is very self-conscious about being comedy and doesn't let it stop from being even more hilarious. Of course some jokes make their return (those who played other Lached Up games will know without a doubt which) but for new player they won't present any problem. Some may consider it as bad thing, I however want to remind that even with crazy events in this world, people rather slowly forget what happened in past. Unless they have pretty serious reason… This bring us to the plot and the characters. I didn't mention forgetting thing by accident, since one of biggest problems faced by writers of visual novels with multiple romantic interests is the canon route when they plan sequel. The solution used by Lached Up Games in MBB2 have sense in context of the world we see, it's something we can accept and all things considered the less painful way to make "clean state" in therms of romance for our protagonist. Not characters or their personalities were harmed in the process which helps a lot because (and it's mainly advantage for older fans sure but just make note of how much Lached Up cares about their characters) those characters are still the same persons at core, some have their character expanded (and some are not... well some people just don't change) but the core stays the same and that's how it should be! Of course there are also new ones and they just as good written but you know, speaking of them could end with me spoiling too much and so about the plot... This is Axon City. Games made by Lached Up Games in certain discord server are called Axonverse and there is few rules you need to know: 1. Expecting unexpected is good attempt to predict what will happen next. It's also futile. 2. Axonverse has it's own logic and laws. Or lack of you say? Nope, the Rule of Funny is how we operate here. 3. Stay away from the Green-haired catgirls and slimegirls. Also DO avoid fat ducks. Okay, enough of being silly it's serious time now, The plot of MBB2 is something new player won't predict. You can be assured of it but the signs of what is going to happen are there. Some however are really well hidden. We, the early access players had countless theories and ideas and actually managed to predict few things. And countless times we were wrong. The story is written in such way that both those who like theorizing and those who go with the flow should enjoy it. And have a lot of fun with it! Let's move on to the technical side and the gameplay. Once more those who played the MBB1 remember the puzzle sections and opinions about them were divided. Some had problem with not really that hard puzzles and other wanted a bigger challenge. And what Lached Up Games decided to do this time? Improve everything! Yes starting with moving between locations that are area of puzzle, to inventory, actions and multiple ways to find the solution. For example? Well then let me invent something quickly: To open locked chest what you will do? Use brute force? Look for the key? Cast some kind of spell? Or maybe just find the way to melt the chest and hope what's within will survive? Of course some solutions are better than others but that's to be expected. Also there was put a lot of effort to make every single puzzle different. Then what if I suck with the puzzles? No problem there is a help system for those players and while game never forces you to use it, the system also add it's own jokes. It doesn't do the thing for you however it's help system not SKIP or something. Insectivirus tornaments and fights are pretty much optional part of the game however is improved so much compared to RPG game Alluna and Brie that not mentioning it would be a crime. They are pretty simple however just for start you should remember what characters say about the elements in this minigame and you will be fine. Beside this, the game is still your good old visual novel, so nothing to be afraid of. Last but not at least the art. I cannot even explain how much I love new sprites we saw, they are major improvement compared to MBB1 sprites of characters. I can't help but wish the artist's that done this awesome work will also make future characters for future games just as great. Sadly not everyone got sprite upgrade but the reason is like always, limited budget that also means this game doesn't have animated cutscenes. (As much we miss them we know that they were not cheap.) So what I have to say if you are still here or decided that "Too long won't read whole thing"? If you don't mind a healthy dose of absurd and following chaos and want some good comedy, buy it. It's worthy it. Also there is a mandatory thing right at the end. LACHED UP GAMES!!!
Loving the art style and humor!

Great Game! It's an amazing VN with great humor and an engaging story and well-written characters.
Bought this on sale cause i was bored. Didn't expect the story to pull me in for the next 13 hours. It is lighthearted and Knows where it stands. I appreciate the jokes the Dev put in about how some things don't fit here or there and it adds to the characters and makes them seem more real
Way better than the original
