Insanely fun game bogged down by PC performance issues. Had to lower everything to lowest and turn off anti-aliasing just to get almost 60 fps. Less than 2 hours playtime gave me a pretty bad headache due to these settings. When the performance issues are fixed this game WILL be worth it, until then play Avatar Legends or Invincible Versus til this game gets fixed.
A temporary stain: I want to preface with I realky like this game. It's fun. My fiance, best friend, and I play and it's a blast. I will also include some tips to actually find a match for some players. First, the ugly. The game is a buggy slopfest. The matchmaking is a buggy mess that is God awful. I have excellent internet and the game struggles to have solid connections to other players. It is near always in 50% speed with terrible rollback frames. The game is not available on xbox and only sony and pc. This is just another attempt on Sony to capitalize on a dying console war. What's even the point...? As always, constant middle fingers to the players when it comes to marvel content. Characters are not balanced. Spiderman is ss easily with very well rounded options and a wide kit. Meanwhile characters like wolverine struggle to be anything but an assist. Also everyone just plays magic online. It's cancerous. Magic is the ryu of this game. Also cyclops, the marvel fighting game flagship character being dlc is atrocious and is either trying too hard to be different or a money grab. but that is an extremely personal opinion, not anything actually bad. The good. The game rocks casually and locally...If it doesn't glitch out bc its not optimized and run at 50% speed. Characters feel distinct. They all have ups and downs. Top of my mind, Spiderman, Magic, and BP stand on top of the pyramid right now. The game has no right to be $60 and then also $40 if you get all the add-ons. Which if you buy it in the first place at $60, you're probably hard committing. The playerbase is negligible because of the matchmaking curse of the spaghetti code. Cinematically the game is amazing. Stories are unique and fun too. The matchmaking fix. Make your matchmaking settings to the same region. Make your matchmaking connection setting to 2+. Turn off view player profile or whatever its called. Rematches don't work right now bc it is bugged most of the time. And enjoy your 50% speed games! lol In all honesty it was bugged in the beta and it is still bugged. This feels like a rushed money grab and the best thing about arc sys is that they end up making games great. As long as Sony and disney don't get in the way. Oh also you must create a psn account. thats all. it is really fun but not worth any of the prices. $35 game max.

Don't buy the game yet on PC its got a ton of issues because of Sony. Wait for an update that fixes everything

Very fun tag fighting game which is trying something unique with its 4vs4 system. While you can play with all your team members, ASW managed to make a system where you can pretty much play only one character with up to 3 assists, or even completely solo. Visually and sound-wise the game is up to ASW standards. The complete OST is amazing, with some character themes from Daisuke Ishiwatari himself, though the models and animations are not on the same level as in Guilty Gear Strive or Granblue Fantasy Versus, but this allows them to make more future costumes for the characters, among other things. But here is the biggest issue: the game was/is very resource heavy due to poor optimization and aggressive DRM. While ASW is trying to better the performance, the DRM is the one pushing the CPU to the limit, which will likely not go away unless the publisher decides to. Speaking of, the game also requires a PSN account, which severely limits in which countries the game can be purchased. TL;DR Game itself is great, but heavy performance-eating DRM and PSN account severely limits the player base. Try the game if it works on your hardware before the refund limit, wait for patches, or get it on PS5.
