Tried it in both Polish and English Really feels like it was made by someone who only learned of it from tabloids. Shallow, poor writing, and a useless plot. No one talks like that, no one acts like that, it's so railroaded. It's free, but I still want a refund

Played in Polish language (but I like english too much to write my review in Polish) Only played a bit. The core point of the game is to tell a story, but this is exactly where it falls short. The storywriting feels very poor to me, the way people talk, interact (the old person you talk to about the tangerines is first quite agressive about you approaching him only to become softhearted after you tell him oh just how much you love your daughter, and suddenly feels guilty for not spending christmas with his mother and asks YOU to check on her instead of doing it himself, wut???), the story is one huge plot armor in of itself (the main character forgets to ask for a specific address, but a random lady just so happens to know who he is referring to). Also it kinda feels cringe in general. There are no stakes, because a few words about how much the main character loves his daughter doesn't punch at all when we know nothing about the characters. It's also pretty unrealistic, nobody talks like that. Also there is a moment where a long text appears while the other character is talking but there is no way to stop the dialogue from continuing or to tell when it will do so. I like the idea of teaching people how it used to be in Polish PRL, but honestly, it doesn't do anything well enough to seriously be played. I'd rather read a PRL book.
Short and Bitter-sweet
You could try to make Christmas special, for just one special person, or you could try to live the Christmas spirit. In Poland living on ration tickets, the special things are harder to come by, as you will quickly learn. Decide you you trust or else is ends badly, and hey don't try to jump the queue.
A bit of Perspective
A few ending variations and even some achievements to mark each one, something communist Poland would not have allowed. For just a moment immerse yourself in a world, which we hope has now been destroyed totally. Brief, perhaps too brief, but it is free. Look out for Martial Law 2. The story and character development are amaizing
Good game. I like this story and its about history.
What an endearing game! Can't wait for the sequel!
