MARS 2030 centers on open world exploration. Taking on the role of an astronaut, players traverse Mars and collect geological samples that uncover the planet’s past. Make discoveries across 40 square kilometers of open Martian terrain, accurately-mapped and -modeled using NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter HiRISE satellite data. Along this journey, players discover a world rich in history that, much like our own planet, once looked very different from what exists today. MARS 2030 can also be experienced in non-VR. Just try out this Game, you gone love it ^_^ Recommended 100%
I played Mars 2030 in the non-VR-mode. On the downside, I found the game to be a bit rough around the edges (with occasional bug), and a pity that the night-sky is static. On the upside, it has some non-scifi info on the equipment for a Mars expedition and on Mars geology (with some voiced narration at it), and nice for a bit to just walk or ride around in a rover. In overall, I recommend, but don't expect much more than a walking sim.
It's a nice game a simulation based on what we know of mars
Pretty accurate exploration simulation of Mars. It has respectable graphics and physics. Unfortunately this SIm lacks a lot in interaction diversity. I feel there should be more depth of analysis in Martian landscape, minerals and rocks, as well as the technology. Even when designed to be a very accurate depiction, I still feel like there is enough public data and Information made available by NASA, that could allow for a more Immersive experience. Those few details would go a long way into making this game light years bettter.
Would not recommend too many bugs. Items pop in and out of existence and it's not optimized very well.
I received this product for free, it was not worth the price. Buggy, issues with lightning/textures, bad distortion, laggy as all hell. DO NOT RECOMMEND IT until they have fixed all those glaring issues. Even if that was fixed, it's just a experience. Everest did it much better
OK, I'd love to see Mars and a collaboration with Nasa can only be a good idea. But god, that motion sickness !
sooooo bad!!! very buggy, VR locomotion not great... just feels very unfinished.
The performance of this game is just awful. It runs terrible on my gtx 980ti. The concept and subject matter are great but wow, it's just NOT a very enjoyable experience. Also when the sand storms hit they actually happen INSIDE the crew hab, I can't believe NASA let that get by them...
