Ouch, I trudged through the tutorial, 2.5 hours. The game tells you nothing but a one line sentence about your class choices and that only if you go into Help and look for yourself. You start off standing in the middle of town with no prompts but an arrow pointing you in a direction, The town itself I'm pretty sure was supposed to be one you find later in the game because the flavor text from the villagers make it sound like you where found badly hurt and healed... yet your first quest is to go talk to your mom and select a class. If you follow the tutorial quest chain it's a cliche coming of age day where you end up meeting your goddess. Don't bother fighting or buying anything not quest required because they give you starter equipment and near the end of the quest chain you are auto leveled to 25 from whatever you where and given a set of "Legendary" equipment better than you can buy. Lastly their English is atrocious, and not in the "Engrish" fashion, it's like a bad fanfic writer who used spell check but nothing for grammar and definitely no editor. After the last tutorial quest they dump you back in the center of that little town and give you no prompts from there. If you leave by the only available exit the mobs in the next zone are vastly under your new level and the one npc looks like the guy you just passed on your way out of town but yells ate you for being here and tells you your not welcome, at which point I gave up.

In a nutshell... great game. Top down RPG with graphics that actually are insanely beautiful considering the fact it's all pixelated (massive pixel graphic fanboy). Hours and hours of gameplay! Has a bit of a learning curve and it takes a while to get used to the mechanics. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU SKIP THE TUTORIAL AND JUMP STRAIGHT INTO THE GAME; ITS SO MUCH EASIER TO LEARN IN-ACTION. Customisation and classes: Every 10 levels, you unlock 2 new outfits which you can use. These outfits are unique to the 6 classes that are in the game: Warrior, Blade Dancer, Mage, Hunter, Tracker and Paladin. You can also further unlock more outfits as you progress throughout the game via quests or simply buying them. I highly recommend starting off as a warrior for your first run as it's most likely the easiest one to play and it's simple (compared to other classes) to find new items and vendors that sell the class-specific items for the warrior. Can't really say which one is the most difficult to play but Hunter and tracker are a pain in the ass to play as you have to constantly manage and buy an obnoxious amounts of arrows/bolts and they occupy inventory space. Mobs: There are countless amounts of different monsters and enemies you can fight. Classified into... 3 or 4 different categories can't remember the 4th one if it even exists :D. The common ones (no special text displayed underneath the monsters text), Elites, and Heroes. Note: fighting Elites and Heroes is significantly harder but they drop insane loot. It's near impossible to solo a monster in the category above elite and you will have to find another player or even more to group up and kill him. Items: There is soooooooo many items aswell ranging from everything you think that belongs in an rpg to everything else you can think of that belongs in an rpg :D Or if you want to be difficult read the list of different item categories: - Not bound,Permanently bound, Bound with owner, One-handed, Two-handed, Hand-and-a-half, Ranged, Auxiliary, Rods, Staffs, Armours, Helmets, Boots, Gloves, Rings, Necklaces, Shields, Neutral, Usables, Gold, Keys, Quest, Renewables, Arrows, Talismans, Upgrades, Recipes. Furthermore, every item has a 'Item type', which consist of: Normal, Unique, Heroic, Legendary and Upgraded. Each one of the items has a different colour so it's easy to recognise especially if a monster randomly drops one for ya. Grouping: It is possible to group up with mates or other players and fight monsters or even other players (ganging up on 1 player is gay don't do it >:C) as a group and exp can be shared alongside the items that drop between the group members killing mobs. When a item drops for a group of players, each member get the choice to either say 'Yes' or 'No' to the item. If two or more players select 'Yes' that they want the item then it gets randomly given to one of them. PvP: It's a thing - I can confirm. However, I have not done much of it mainly due to the horrendous deficit of players that play the game (this is also good though as areas with nice amount of mobs to grind are always available :3). Each area of the map is categorised into either a green, yellow or red light. Green means PvP is completely disabled, Yellow means that PvP is enabled only if two players allows it (via a shield or two sword button located underneath the off-hand) and the red light which obviously means you run when you see another player because for some reason they 1 shot you... Currency and Premium Currency: There are two currencies in Margonem: Gold and Draconite. Now for the thing that everybody hates, a premium currency. I can confirm this is a thing and sucks but the game somehow does have to exist being a free game (its been up and running for years being a simple free browser game). Premium currency can be obtained by mainly being purchased OR actually being dropped from certain mobs and can be used to purchase a crap ton of different items (many being simply cosmetic items but many other not). Paying 2 win in this type of game is basically non-existent due to the fact that you would be paying 2 win against what? NPCs? Go ahead, your just funding awesome game developers. Gold at first may seem sparse especially as you are running around buying equipment as you zoom through your first 10 levels but as you progress around the 20 lvl mark you will start to accumulate a crapton of gold. You will realise that there's nothing much to spend your money on after a while and be left sitting with 500k. Once you accumulate that much head on over to the auctioneer where the few other players that play this game will have auctioned items up. These items will usually either be unique or heroic category. Quests: As you progress throughout the game, certain NPCs have question marks floating over their heads which means they have a quest available to be taken, yellow question marks mean it's a onetime quest whereas a blue one means it's a daily. While doing a quest and all the categories have been fulfilled for it, an exclamation mark will apear floating over the NPCs head meaning you can finish a quest with the NPC. Skills: There is an entire skill tree the player can access and unlock the more they level up (becoming available at lvl 25), they can give you the edge over you enemies by either giving you a insane passive or simply a new ability that you can use mid-fight. Every class has their own unique skill tree that they can unlock with about 42 different skills. That's about all the main things I can think of, and my fingers hurt anyway, so I will stop there. Ah but wait! Couple tips for new players: - When fighting monsters, unless they are either hard or a special one and you want to use a skills that you have, hit 'F' or the 'Quick Fight' button for the fight to get automatically played out (saves so much time) or simply right click on the monster rather then left clicking. - You can TP to any of the main cities where quests are usually located via a NPC that fondles some sort of ball (costs a little of money but hella worth it) - ALWAYS do quests FIRST, they will usually level you up halfway to the next level (this usually starts happening past lvl 10ish. After completing the quests for your current lvl, go kill some monsters. - To figure out what quests are available currently for your LVL find a notice board (theres one in every main city). Once you access it, it will show you the quests available and the location they are in. Simply TP to that city that is stated and then find the NPC handing the quest out. - If you are equipped correctly and constantly update your equipment from vendors as you level up (roughly every 2 or so levels), you will be able to take on monsters that are like 10+ LVL higher than you, but don't expect to be able to do this straight off the bat. - If you are having trouble completing a certain quest because a monster is impossible to kill for you currently or you simply have no idea what you are doing, skip it! No quest is a must to complete and you can simply unlock new ones and go do them. You can always return to them later on in the game. - Take your sweet time talking to different NPCs and walking round the different locations in Margonem to find out which ones are healers and which ones traders. They will usually be noticeable due to their name as the will be called something like: "........ the healer" or "........ the trader". Even if they do not sell anything useful for you and your current level, it's always good to know where they are! - Certain monsters will auto-engage you if you walk to close to them especially if you are lower level than they are! Take care! I hope this review will make you at least try this game out as I can say hands down that this game deserves way more attention than it has. It's kinda sad that at times a game a good as this during off-peak times will have you as the only person logged on the entire server... Happy grinding!
Really poorly developed game. More detailed description below:
PROS:
-Beautiful graphics -A lot of potential if correctly developed
CONS:
-The tutorial is very long and doesn't teach anything for the actual gameplay -This is a browser game, launching the game asks you for allowing cookies -Notification messages in the chat box are broken and send twice -The tutorial requires us to defeat large groups of enemies, in the open world there are little to none of these and are impossible to kill the way the tutorial intends -The quests are poorly written, it's all about running around the map and talking to NPC's. Nothing fun, just repetetive -The dialogues are badly translated, so badly in fact that it's better to just skip the dialogues -The game has no storyline, you randomly appear in the world and start apparently everyone knows you -The game isn't demanding mechanically in any way, you get everything given to you. Upon subscribing to their newsletter by entering your email (nice) you get a chest full of gear for different levels that you just replace once you hit that level. You don't need to get anything yourself to progress, just subscribe to the newsletter and the game gives you enough items to just kill mobs the rest of your career. -The quests don't demand anything, upon accepting a quest you get a big blue arrow on the screen telling you the exact place of where to go, even if the objective is finding a hidden item. -The map is bugged, upon opening the world map you have two of the same map just under each other. -The game gets very boring, in order to progress you need to complete a way too long tutorial that teaches nothing, if not then the monsters are too high level for you to actually do anything -The tutorial map is overfilled with everything, just as if they wanted to fit the whole game in one map. Ghosts, drowned, snakes, everything in different corners of the map, there is no consistensy in the mobs, they just thrown them for the sake of it -Blatant ripoff of the Super Mario series in the center of the tutorial map, you even have to collect "power mushrooms" for them -Clicking too many times causes errors and crashes the site (nice) -The achievements in game talk about maps, monsters or items you never have mention of in the tutorial and the only way to aquire them is to randomly find it (probably getting lost in the world since you can't teleport). The achievements are poorly translated which also don't help in completing them and finally, completing achievements gives you nothing except a badge in your achievements page and on the forum. -Picking a different server you cannot use the same name you had on one server -The game is very laggy no matter where you are located -And the most important one so far. You cannot save your progress through steam. The game prompts you with creating a login, password, and giving them your email to create your account. After you close the game and launch it a second time there is no possible way of entering the game, you can only access the menu with your profile. In order to actually play the game again you are forced to go on their website and play it from there instead of directly from steam. I hope you find this review helpful, feel free to comment if you have any other opinions about this game. Edit/ The login problem was fixed
Oh boy. This is weird to review. First off, this game is a niche Polish browser MMO. Lots of people on the original web Polish servers. Not so much here. As you can imagine, there's not a lot of international players. Most people (who already played/still play the Polish version) are Polish. Not that it's a bad thing, but the population is incredibly low. For the game itself, it's fun. It might be nostalgia speaking, as I played this game a lot when I was younger. Playing it now after so much time it's still as it used to be, with some improvements in graphics and the UI. Let me start off by saying this is not a game for everyone. It does take a long time to level up after a certain point, and there are a lot of stuff you are either expected to know, or expected to know where to look for it. A lot of resources for this game are available in Polish, like wikis, information sites, sites containing loot tables, quest lists and the such. They help a lot. I do not know if there are any sites like that available in English. What I do know is that there's a quest list available on the official English Margonem page. I recommend you look for it if you want to play this game for more than 20 minutes. There are 6 classes available for you to play as : Heavy-armored two-handed wielding Warriors, Paladins wielding melee weapons with magical damage, Mages dealing all sorts of magic damage and occasionally healing the party, Hunters wearing leather armors and ranged weaponry with poison damage, Trackers wielding magical ranged weaponry, and Blade Dancers using two weapons to slice and dice all in their way. The tutorial, as it is right now, sucks. A lot. You don't learn anything about the mechanics of the game. It kinda attempts to show you how the different monster ranks work (Elites, Elite II and Heroes) but fails to explain anything. So lemme quickly summarize what it is about, as gear is really important in this game. There are 5 grades of items : Normal, Unique, Heroic, Legendary, and Upgraded. Normal items drop from everything, Unique items are relatively rare compared to normal items. They provide better bonuses and are worth quite a bit of money both for selling to merchants and other players. Heroic items are way more rare, way better than unique items, and can set you up with a decent amount of money. Not recommended to vendor these, unless you bind one to yourself and over level the item. Legendary items offer special abilities, such as saving you from death with a strong heal, protecting you from critical strikes and lowering elemental damage. They are incredibly rare, incredibly powerful, and worth a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money. Like, if you get one of those and sell it, you are set with equipment for years. As for monsters, they follow a similar pattern. You have normal monsters, Elite monsters, Elite II monsters, Heroes, Titans and Colossi. Elite monsters drop unique, and sometimes heroic gear. Elite II monsters are stronger, usually you won't be able to kill them alone. They drop unique, heroic and have a chance on legendary gear. Heroes are the most interesting (in my opinion) of the bunch since they are really powerful bosses spawning at random on various maps around the world. They usually have some lore to them, and some flavor text is attached to the legendary items they drop. Titans are extremely powerful group bosses that require a full party of people to take down. They respawn for a long time, and usually offer a wide array of (unfortunately character bound) unique, heroic, and legendary gear. Colossi are the same deal, except everyone can attempt to fight colossi once a day. The itemization itself is a big plus for this game. I absolutely love this mechanic of gear (even though i never dropped any legendary items in my life) and the monster classes/grades make it even more interesting to hunt 'em. I would recommend for most people looking for an MMORPG to check it out. The quests are not absolutely the worst. Most of them even have a story attached. There are some quest where you just go out and kill 5 deer to get some xp. But it most certainly could be worse in terms of quests *cough* tera *cough* Overall it's a solid 7/10 in terms of online time wasters.
Seemed like a fun old school game, which I normally enjoy. So I played for a while and when I got to the first big town I did few quests, earned like 5k in gold by that time, died to wolf and thought it might be time to actually get a piece of armor or what ever cause not a dam thing was dropping loot. I found some vendors but nothing available for me for whats looks like a long time, level 55. I ran into an auction house and thought I would take a look and perhaps buy some gear from a player or at least find out whats what gear wise. Just a low level robe was selling for 28 million gold. Ok, so I am not farming that any time soon, the vendors in game sell gold, so its pay to win time right. I can live with that if it not to bad. The price of 1k whateverdollars is about 6 bux IRL. I didn't buy yet, I went to see what that would translate to in game gold first. I found that to get the 28 million I would have to spend about 40-50 bux IRL money. So next is the uninstall button, because yeah I am not in the mood for another game with a busted ass economy. Had I been able to spend 10 or 20 dollars to get enough gold to buy just basic decent gear to start my adventure off with, I would have been fine with it. On top of that, now I understand why no one was speaking english in chat.. Its a game where 3rd world players with no life are farming their asses off and making living from 1st world whales. Or you just grind your self to death solo I presume for ever. No Recommends
What even is this game? After ~7 hours I still could not tell you what they were going for but I now get why people call this a walking simulator - as that is mostly what you do. When you're not doing excessive fetch quests, you'll encounter what might possibly be some of the most boring combat experiences you'll ever have foisted upon you. There is absolutely no aggression, movement, or strategy to be had. The story is disjointed and the tutorial is...not a tutorial. I'm not sure why they call that a tutorial or even include it in the game. The art work is probably the best thing going on for this game but that isn't anywhere near enough of a justification to install this and spend time in its world. Just move along and spend your time elsewhere.

Not worth, you will spend a lot of time playing only to get banned by administration whenever they feel like it. Dont waste time playing this crap, go do something better with your life. 0/10 with current administration (♥♥♥♥ you Crapsidas) otherwise 7/10
Mobs don't seem to drop gold in the tutorial and subsequent starter area. I also wasn't able to sell anything either as everything is apparently needed for a quest (which seemed to be incorrect). So no way to make gold initially, and then "buy gold" with real money on every NPC page. Plus a really unpolished interface. Not a good first impression.
