Marginalia is a first-person horror game that transports you to Kestlebrook, a secluded valley where history becomes enmeshed with a strange present. Weeks ago Eric left. Days ago you got a letter telling you to come to him. Now you're here, but precisely where is here? And better yet, when?

Too much walking with too much space, besides that - a nice short walksim with interesting story and good visual and sound design.
Best thriller and nightmare like game experience i ever had. A few powerfull moments that dbrings gaming a medium to a higher standard as art form. The sound, but also contrast, scale of the world, it all felt convincing. The light and darknes was very subtle directed. For an Small indie or one veloper, great work.
It's good.
A masterpiece in atmosphere. Not too much meat on this game but I think it does what it intended to do perfectly. I especially enjoyed the forest environment and the ambient backing music. Solid 8/10!
Wonderful and ominous narration with the eloquent and mysterious flair in the words like you'd see in Lovecraft novels. The entire experience was Lovecraftian, but not in the typical wet tentacled way you normally see it displayed. Rather the foreboding unseen cosmic horror that is never fully explained to let your imagination do the rest for maximum scares. The visuals and soundscape compliment that atmosphere and narrative perfectly. So happy I bought this and for the price it is a steal.
Ratings: Dito: 3.3/5 Chat: 2.64/5 Gesamt: 2.97/5
Though the term is often used disparagingly, Connor Sherlock seems to revel in making Walking Simulators that appeal to a small niche group even within fans of the "genre" of walking sims. The gameplay of Marginalia is walking through a forest at night, travelling between brightly glowing red lanterns where the player character will speak the next part of the story. So mechanically the game is very simple, but it's very tense and atmospheric, it fills you with a deep sense of dread as you wander through the forest of Kestlebrook. If the game sounds appealing to you and you are a fan of walking sims that are stripped down to their basics and tense horror stories that scare through atmosphere and a sense of dread rather than jumpscares or traditional monsters than i would recommend Marginalia.
Uma experiência sensorial extremamente experimental. Ótimo jogo, nunca vi nada igual.
Wow. What a unique experience. Slow, meditative, and introspective. Perfect walking sim.
A lot of games do horror really well but more then anything Marginalia nails dread. Its like listening to a dark ambient album, reading poetry by Edger Allen Poe, or turning around in the forest and realizing that you hopelessly lost.
