Map Map - A Game About Maps

The game started quite nice but when I reached the swamp in the second half I got so annoyed. You get a divider from the beginning but no ruler. That's fine for the first few maps but it makes things unnecessarily complicated later on. Same for a magnetic compass. I see that a compass would've made the game much easier but I would appreciate more difficult tasks with the right set of tools rather than making simple tasks artificially difficult by removing the basic tools. When I got the glider, the main character constantly became stuck. I had to reload the map which erased my progress that I made so far. The respawn button in the menu did nothing in those cases. Sometimes my drawings survived the reload but after that I couldn't even erase them manually any more. The game's controls are clearly not made for platforming which makes the optional floor is lava challenges especially later on pretty frustrating. On map 18, there are even objects without collision geometry. When you try to land on them you will fall right through on the ground which will fail the challenge.

Absolutely incredible game. It's everything I could want: a game about making maps. Sure, it looks innocent, and it is, but it gives you a lot of challenge in trying to be accurate with everything you place. Besides the main goal of trying to place stuff on the map, there are stickers you acquire throughout by finding secrets, allowing you to decorate your map further. The music is pleasant too and the voice acting is amazing. There are some minor annoyances, but nothing that really takes away from what the game is. 10/10 game of the year, every year.

Map Map really sells what it wants to sell: Finding your way around an area and marking the stuff you find there on a map. Along with the charming characters, the cute visuals, the nice music and all of the treasures that you can dig up, it comes around as a really amazing indie game.

Fun (puzzle) game about maps and estimating locations. You unlock tools to help you make the estimations be more precise but the best tool only unlocks before the last level which I think is a shame. Platforming can be a bit of a challenge but is never impossible. The game is very forgiving with regards to the quest goals, you can try to get perfect ratings but you don't need to. There are also plenty of secrets to be found.

Map map é um jogo que me surpreendeu bastante. Um jogo simples de puzzle, e perfeito pra passar o tempo. Duas coisas que não curti tanto: existe uma forma de burlar a gameplay da localização, então perde a imersão. A segunda coisa é que eu não curti as recompensas encontradas nos tesouros, não motiva a tentar achar eles. De resto, é um jogo bem legal e recomendo pra quem quiser explorar.

MAP HEISST KARTE Auf jeden Fall ein ziemlich cooles Spiel, was am Ende schon sehr komplex wird und einiges abverlangt (ich war zu dumm tbh). Finds aber verrückt das ein Game was so aussieht (was jetzt nicht scheiße aussieht, aber ja sehr stilisiert ist) die Grafikkarte so zum schwitzen bringt

Como alguém Apaixonado em exploração e quebra-cabeça, os desafios de encontrar os pontos com poucas referências e apenas suas ferramentas a disposição ficaram muito bons!! prestar atenção ao ambiente pra triangular no mapa e poder construir as referências aos poucos é um atrativo enorme do jogo!! Ficar perdido numa ilha linda e ir se encontrando no seu tempo sem pressa é algo terapeutico!!
