About

is a thrilling first-person multiplayer horror experience where one player takes on the role of a ruthless maniac, while the others must cooperate, complete objectives, and fight to survive. The game is steeped in tension, where every death could be your last.
The game takes place in an abandoned village surrounded by a dense forest, where all the residents mysteriously vanished, leaving behind empty homes and eerie remnants. With each passing day, the atmosphere grows darker, and the nights become unbearable. Every night is a new test of survival, as an unknown killer lurks somewhere in the shadows, ready to strike at any moment. Who will become the Maniac, and who will survive the night? The choice is yours.
Players are thrown into random locations with a single goal — survive. The Maniac and survivors play as distinct characters, adding unexpected twists to every match. While the Maniac hunts and eliminates the survivors, the others must work together to outsmart, trap, or defeat the killer using scattered items and improvised tactics.
A carefully designed survival system offers a range of interactive elements: search for weapons, set traps, or quietly sneak through the darkness. But the key to survival is trust — and knowing when to rely on your team.
Key Features:
Asymmetric multiplayer gameplay: one player (the room creator) becomes the Maniac with unique abilities, while the others must cooperate to stay alive.
Deep, immersive atmosphere: realistic sound design and haunting environments constantly keep players on edge.
Multiple tactical choices: survivors can pick up weapons, set traps, use distractions, or psychologically outplay one another.
Special abilities for the Maniac:
Highlight all survivors temporarily, allowing the Maniac to see every player’s location and plan a deadly ambush.
Fear system — victims entering certain conditions (like hearing footsteps, finding corpses, or being left alone) will panic, making more noise and becoming easier to track.

Возможно, продукт и интересный (во всяком случае идея точно интересная), но в соло поиграть нельзя, а онлайна в ней никакого нет. Так что играть только с друзьями и то, если они есть и/или захотят купить данную игру.
Warning: AI Slop Marketing materials for this product were produced with soulless AI generated content. The developer violated the Valve requirement to warn gamers about any use of AI slop in a direct attempt to use AI slop for profit.

Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This is possibly the worst ripoff of Dead By Daylight I've ever seen... crap tier game assets with pixelcrap textures, a hideous pixelcrap screen filter you can't turn off, and laughably sluggish movement. That's all I can really relate because the game has no players for obvious reasons so cannot be played. It's a dead PvP game, and it's time for us to have a post-mortem to see some of the reasons this failed. Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Developers often assume just because they published their game, it's going to "go viral". I'm guessing this is a case of the developers making this game in complete isolation without even bothering to look at what other PvP games on Steam already offer. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the Game. They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The assets look a little mismatched but they're also much higher quality than the actual game. It's a bit of a red flag for an asset flip, but there's no evidence or smoking gun in this case. While there's no proof, the overall low quality of the actual "game" part (an important part of the whole package that makes up a game) is indistinguishable from an asset flip, and no matter where the assets came from, the quality here is bad. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical shortcomings push this game below minimum standards for any competently developed modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 15 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 140,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality game this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Let's look at the price and what kind of value this actually offers gamers. Should you buy this game? Is it one of the best of the 140,000+ games on Steam? Maniac: Hunt or Be Hunted is relatively cheap at $3 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. The use of AI slop is a direct insult to gamers and real, ethical content creators and artists everywhere.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
