I mean, it's your standard beat 'em up, and that's all there really is to say about this game. There's nothing that particularly stands out about it good or bad, and the most I can say is that in the end the gameplay is kind of basic and it wasn't too long before I personally at least was kind of bored with the game wishing it was over since there was just nothing particularly special to make it interesting any longer, but my point is, I guess if I have to give it a recommended or a not recommended, it would have to be a not recommended, since I see no particular reason to suggest to anybody they play this, and it doesn't really stand out that much.
Unlimited lives
This game has effectively unlimited continues, and technically you have a limited number of lives and if you run out it's game over, but... the game just asks if you want to continue anyway when you lose your last life, and if you say yes you're immediately thrown right back into the game at the exact moment you left like nothing happened and given a couple of extra lives, so at least that made it easy to get through and there was no dying 10 minutes into the last boss and having to go all the way back to the start of the level or anything.
No level select
This game has no level select, and you can start a new game from the beginning, and you can continue on the level you were playing last time you quit, but if you're currently on level 4 and want to go back to level 3, for example, then your only choice is to start all the way over and get through level 1 and 2 again first.
Some fun facts
This doesn't matter in any way, but during the cannon minigame, if you pause the game while inside a cannon, enter the settings menu (so as to not immediately unpause when you press B later), and then press the B button on your controller, the cannon will, I guess, fire while the game is paused, and your character won't go anywhere yet but you can see the cannon moving from whatever angle you had it aimed in back to the default angle while the game is still paused. Also doesn't matter, but it's possible to cheese one of the bosses by
getting him stuck in an endless loop by hitting him just barely enough to stun him a little but not so much as to knock him down, and if you can hit Linksee at the right moment with light attack >> heavy attack >> stop, over and over while playing as Maki or light attack >> light attack >> stop, over and over while playing as Tincho (I wasn't able to get it to work with Maka. I also found Maka to be my last favorite character to play in general, but that's another story), he'll just barely get stunned for a brief moment, and although he'll exit stun right after, the amount of time between then and the next time you hit him doesn't seem to be long enough for him to fight back, meaning you can just repeat this until his health is gone.
The game is just okay. It’s cute and easy to play with a simple story. The game is also boring and put me to sleep a couple times while playing. The Good Cute art style Alright controls. But I did have problems with it, like when I wanted to look the other way and attack but I had to wait for an animation to finish. I’m not sure. It’s not that responsive. The game is short. It has variation in levels where you go on a snowboard, parachute, and race. The game is easy and when you lose all your lives, you just come back and continue playing. I liked the different biomes of levels. The Bad I found the boss battles to be bad. They had so much area when they hit and they never stop and really give you a chance to hit them. Enemies are reused a lot in each level except the last level. The story didn’t make sense for something so serious as kidnapping some girl. The levels drag on too long. You fight enemies forever. Bosses are damage sponges. Conclusion It’s an okay game.
Boring af
