Major League Gladiators is a free VR 2-player co-op shooter that has Tron like graphics. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Has tutorials for each role you can play in game. You need to recruit your steam friends to actually play in a match that you host or friend hosts. Try it, if you like shooting and slaying stuff with friends.
Fun 2- player co-op action against waves of enemy AI. Hosting player is ranged, joining player is melee. Cooperation is the key to victory. Enemies come from all over, so it definitely keeps you on your toes!
It is not compatable for the oculus
♥♥♥♥ me man this games is really great. For a free vr game it's pretty damn clean, the concept is pretty interesting and I really like that the two classes are designed to play off of eachother but can be totally standalone if you're playing without a partner. I'm gona turn some of my vr friends onto this and see what kinda fun we can have with it. Being totally honest here I'd pay money for this game. I will say that I am getting an odd bug that I haven't had in other games since I fixed my tracking issues (oculus) I'll play for a while and then the audio trips out and the view gets laggy and pretty disorienting, it sorts itself out pretty quickly but it seems like I gotta let it get sorted during live play which is a little nerve racking though not enough for me to ♥♥♥♥♥ about it; it hasn't saused me to die in game yet but it totally could. I figured I'd mention it in case devs have any advice on how to run it more smoothly, I've considered turning off antilasing but I really prefer to keep the visuals as clean as possible. I'm open to suggestion and some new friends to play this with :)
- Fun melee and gun system - Well designed arena - Co-op - Great movement system - Haven't encountered any bugs - Free Hands down one of my favorite VR games. Would love to see an update.
the mechanics are good, i like them a lot, the idea is good aswell, but i wish there was more people playing it so i can find parterns quicker
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
So I debated whether to give this a positive or negative recommendation. It was a close call, but I'm going to say no. The main reason being that after 35 minutes, and just seeing wave after wave after more wave. I decided to just quit rather than to try last as long as I could. I was never in any danger amd I felt no challenge. There were just more enemies. So each wave just felt more grindey. Mindless AI after mindless AI. And the whole combat just felt slow and clunky. I have never played a game that felt less frantic that involved horde mode. Now I was playign solo ... but it's not like anybody else was online playing this game. I was just bored playing it. It's not the worst game. It's got some unique ideas in combat that are new to VR. So always try to support innovative games. But the movement is just too slow. And the jumps were very inconsistent as well as the teleporting. Innovative doesn't always mean fun. Rate 4.5/10. Close, but not good enough.
Really really enjoyable game. Controls feel amazing, especially shooting while jumping. Played with a friend and we had a lot of fun. Overall great free game.
