MAGIX Video deluxe 2017 Plus Steam Edition

I recently bought this software since I'm in the need of a "self-sufficient" movie editor for my own projects (either tutorial, training and slideshows) and up to now, I found it's stable to me since the recent updates. I'm on Win 10 64 bits with 8 gb ram with Intel HD Graphics (that's what my laptop has) and works fine to me. I made a quick export with default settings for a short slider and the rendering process worked good to me. I'm not very professional at video/audio stuff and it's good to have a replacement for Windows Movie Maker (since the Win store apps there's not a good editor for me). Once i've said it, I would primary use it for joining my screencast from action mirillis and my audio (mostly voiceovers, previously edited with audacity) and then movie edit pro would do the rest. I like the fact that includes several effects,transitions and audios (.ogg format) and video correction (white balance,coloring and so on...), the only down-side I found it's that when I tested the trial from official website, it has an access to a downloads manager where you open it and the internal browsers points to nowhere,so you can't get extra files as expected. My question would be... are they included natively with this "Steam version"? or is it a shorten version in a rude manner to make you buy (again) the software from the official site?. This version includes a bit more "options/content" than the standard and pro editions, so it's worth to give a try and if is not for you, you can return it back to steam through their internal process. I will be testing around the software and let's see what I can get from this =)!

The screen capture on the software works very nicely. The video editing and rendering is quick and painless. Overall, this software is great and easy to use. Don't trust the bad reviews, this product works as advertised. So support the developer, you'll be glad to you did.

Been using Magix 2016, while I did not Legitimately own the software it was a good consumer video converter. Now having purchased MAGIX Video deluxe 2017 Plus Steam Edition. It has limited capabilities in short you can't get newer plugins for effects from their store, as the only content is what you get with the purchase. I've seen many negative reviews about the program itself freezing. The program is choosy with the container it wants to read I tested two HEVC encoded videos , one contained in .mkv and one contained in .mp4, it didn't want to export the mkv file resulting in a 2 minute freezing of the program. Do I Recommend MAGIX Video deluxe 2017 Plus Steam Edition? Yes, It's a cheap got it during Autumn Sale 2017 for $7.94 priced accordingly to my region.( Which made it more attractive as buying from the retail site would cost me more). Now for the Bad Reviews I've been reading , Magix does it work and works as advertised. Now A few problems arise that make the program confusing: 1) Why is this one cheaper than the other 2017 deluxe advertised on steam? -I really don't know but according to the reply I got this one is the better version. 2) The program does not exit properly on steam, and the process remains in the task manager. - Easily solvable by doing the following. A.) Open the videodeluxe.ini, which you find under the following path: C:\Users\*Username"\AppData\Roaming\MAGIX\Videodeluxe23_steam\ B.) Search for the section [MobileSync]. C.) Set [MobileSync] Flags=0 and save the videodeluxe.ini. I don't know why they never bothered to patch a single digit change though in the program defaults. In Summary: Cheap and affordable. Don't trust the bad reviews they are mostly early adopters who had have problems which were fixed in the latest patches. You probably need to change some file formats for it to be read by the Movie Maker(Maybe use Handbrake). There is also a steep learning curve take note of that.

Look at how many hours I have in this software! It's one of my most "played" games on Steam... because you can't actually turn it off. Even if you close out of the program it says it's still running. To ACTUALLY close the program, you have to: 1) Close Steam 2) THEN go to your Task Manager 3) End the process from there It doesn't show up in the Task Manager until you close Steam. It's such a hassle. Hopefully someone sees this review just so they don't log another 100 hours into this. Magix, please fix your software.

Программа ужастна! Пишу это для тех кто все таки думает что сможет с некоторыми изьянами смириться. Как пишут все пользователи, программа остается в памяти даже после закрытия, иногда не запускается воовсе, пока не перезагрузишь компьютер. Но самое "охуенное", что как только ты смонтировал проэкт она тупо перезагружаеся и не сохраняет его. Короче человек который хочет ее купить, не вздумай этого делать даже если она будет стоить 20 копеек, не наступай на грабли других.

эта програма не работает! единствиное что она делает, это денги ест.

Ich kann dieses Programm absolut nicht empfehlen. Das Layout ist schrecklich und unübersichtlich. Es stürzt dauernd und ohne ersichtlichen Grund ab. Es gibt dauernd Probleme, für die es im Magix Forum keine sinnvollen Antworten von der eingebildeten und unfreundlichen Community gibt. Es würde zu etwas taugen, wenn es mal für nur fünf Minuten so funktionieren würde wie es soll. Mein Fazit: größter Müll - Ich schaue mich mal nach besseren Alternativen um.
