O melhor Magical Drop que ja joguei e jogo desde o primeiro. Só senti falta de mais jogadores para jogar online pois a demora é muito longa para parear.
I really liked the game but there are some problems with it that really made me consider if it really was worthy the price, first of all the story mode is kanda boring, every time you want a different ending or unlock a character you have to restart everything, this happens too if you lose, this is a decision that is kinda weird if you ask me but anyways, this isn´t the biggest problem, the 2 biggest problems of this game are the way you unlock the characters and the path of destiny, the way you unlock the characters is kinda tedious more than difficult, the requeriments are kinda dumb sometimes and other times are very very especific and horrendous that really is boring with the time, but its ok, doesnt matter, despite its kinda weird this decision if you ask me since in magical drop III you haved all the characters since the beginning, the fact that really confuses me is that you have to unlock every character in each gamemode which is honestly insane to me, and a decision that I dont understand, the other big problem is the path of destiny, this mode is extremely boring and unfair, the cpu cheats a lot, the poison spaces are super punishin and the most minimun mistake makes you lose and restart from the beginning, is really stupid and unfair how punishing it is, despite this problems I really liked the game and hope the still work in the dlcs and the next entry of magical drop, for everyone who is thinking in buy the game I recommended it but you should first try out Magical drop III since its more better for beginners.
Good vibes. It reminds me the Magical Drop version I was able to play on Neo Geo, long time ago. I really enjoy playing this new version.
Vale a pena!
(Knock like 6 hours off my play time, I left it idling for a while) The base game is decent. It's blisteringly fast and easy to pick up, though it has some balance issues that become apparent. What brings it down are all the game modes and the ways they tie together. It's probably easiest to just explain what's wrong with each mode. Story: Extremely slow and a bad place to learn the game (which is what story modes are for). Dialogue is slow and you'll have to complete the same few puzzle challenges over and over. Enemy AI is not affected by difficulty so just set it to Easy. Because enemy AI is not affected, they will just curbstomp any new players until players learn to play properly. Oh and if you lose a single Best-of-3 against the AI, you fail story mode and get kicked back to the title screen. The hell? When you think 'Story mode' it's usually a campaign map where you select challenges you can repeat as many times as you want, not a weird board game/arcade mode hybrid. Anyways, to see everything you will need to play through it four times. This is less optional than you think, due to the next section. Match: The arcade mode. Everything is First-to-1 so don't mess up. The biggest problem with Match is actually still Story mode, since you cannot fight a character until you see beat them in Story. No, not play, I said fight. If a match up against a locked character is next, it boots you back to the title. It pretends you won but you won't get the stuff for it. The other half of it is that the AI are all weak to a fairly similar strategy. Just pick a character like Fool who does a ton of damage on 2-Chains and rush those, the AI cannot properly defend against you. Path of Destiny: A board game that makes Dokapon look like a blissful stroll. You can't speed up CPU turns so it's slow. The annoying puzzles from the story are back, but there's a few extra with poor translations. Losing a single 1v1 sends you back to the beginning of the board, not that you're likely to lose. No the issue is when the CPU goes back to the beginning they'll use a warp item to swap places with you. The CPU has a lot of items and you will have none, because to buy items you need coins from (mostly) winning Path of Destiny. It's weird because the shop is independent of the mode, why don't other modes give us coins then? It's hard to want to play PoD once, let alone enough times to buy all the extra artwork. Puzzle/Survival/Caravan: These ones are fine. They're solitaire modes with their own stuff, no awful rule additions. VS Local/Online: I didn't try this, but I need to point out that just like the other modes you are locked out of 90% of the cast until you do inane chores in every other mode. They really should have given all modes coins and put the characters in the shop instead. Overall, not super worth it but it goes on sale for pretty cheap. I'd still refer you to Magical Drop III over VI and I say that having never played III.
I loved this game. Other game.............pay to get more playable characters. This game.........play to get more playable characters. This game should be a role model of the others. CHEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A cute puzzle game with a bevy of brightly colored modes, characters, and upbeat music, that should keep you moderately entertained for a few hours while you learn to master its fast-chaining, color-matching, drops. Magical Drop is an arcade series by Data East that's been around for a while, the mid 90's to be exact. And its one that's cultivated a lush history of fast-moving puzzle games where you-the player-take control of character representations of Tarot cards and use their skills to match 3 or more drops of the same color in rapid succession. Sound weird? It is, lol. And if you're anything like me, then you likely have at least heard of the name before in passing, but possibly never actually tried any of them for yourself. Well if that's the case, don't get too hung up on it, and here's why... Magical Drop VI is the latest entry in that tried and true formula, and as far as that formula itself actually goes... it doesn't really DO anything all that new. But if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? The game itself, wholly original or not, is still fun and entertaining do to its incredibly fast-paced gameplay, charismatic cast, and vibrantly colored presentation. And when you couple that with some of its more interesting modes like- the endurance testing "Survival Mode", The fast-paced problem solving "Puzzle Mode", or the board-game inspired "Path of Destiny mode", you can see how there was at least some effort to spice things up a bit, and the games overall package is better off for it. That being said, not everything about MD6 is great. The story mode, while technically there, to be frank, sucks a fat one. If this is your first foray into the series, you'll get what's going on, but still probably wont care. Which perhaps would be an easier pill to swallow had the game not cheapen out SO HEAVILY on its animation, with its incredibly stiff, almost flipbook-like animation quality. A REAL downgrade compared to the more gorgeous sprite work from this series older entries. Which is a shame. All that being said, I think for the right price, and the right audience, Magical Drop VI is a good time. Its not wholly original nor does it have the highest production value. But what it lacks there, it makes up for in it's fast & addictive gameplay and variety of solidly-entertaining extra modes and multiplayer. An acceptable asking price is always in the eye of the beholder. But I snagged this one up for just about 3 bucks and I cant say I have any real regrets.
If you wanna play Magical Drop, this is honestly a really good way to do so. Gameplay is as fun and tight as ever, and there is a good amount of content here to keep things fresh. Sale price of $3 is also hard to argue with, at that point it's a no-brainer pickup. As a big fan of Magical Drop 2 in particular, this scratches my itch for fast-paced marble-matching just fine.
