Entertaining card battler game with a simple map and style. The creature design is very creative. But i came to a game breaking bug at the later stage of the game. In a fight vs a orange bornfire, whenever i tryed to add warmth to my pool, it vanised instantly for no reason. So i couldnt progress anymore coz i couldnt beat the opponent. Otherwise good game.

That stone and building over there? Those become cards for your deck. As you collect cards you will fight enemies that stand in the way of your freedom and revenge. However, unlike many deckbuilders that have you polish and upgrade one deck until the end game, here you will absolutely need to adapt your deck, always adding and removing cards, and sometimes completely redesigning it, as each enemy will require a different approach and strategy. The story is rather short, but fitting for its price. I must say that initially I felt like I was not going to like the game, but the farther I was in, the more I enjoyed the many challenges in the puzzle-like combat which often required me to go back to the drawing board and remake my deck to beat a specific enemy.
The positive
+ Combat is fun. Each enemy has a certain strength or advantage that you need to adapt to and it was fun thinking which combination of cards would do the best job. + Collecting cards through the environment is a gimmick. But a cool one. Yes, those cards could have been acquired by traditional means, but rarely any other game has me so excited about seeing a different type of tree.
The negative
- The map is very poorly done. There is no indication of where you are and while it's not a huge map, it was still rather frustrating. On top of that some areas of the map did not reveal until I found a secret even though I have explored most of that section. - Gameplay could be faster in some parts. Speed of some effects should be resolved faster and movement on the map should also be a tad faster, especially when you need to backtrack. - UI and UX needs a touch-up. Sometimes it's not as easy to understand what some enemy cards do. And sometimes, because most cards are removed once played, you will have to spend 10 turns skipping so that your 1 attack minion finishes up a bulky enemy that was out of cards. There should be a speed up button. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it can be frustrating.
Conclusion:
Overall, I enjoyed my time with the game. It could use some polish here and there, but for its price it offers an enjoyable and different experience from most other card games on the market. If you are like me, it may be some time until you warm up to the game, but then it's totally worth it. Recommended.

Cheap and neat game
挺好玩的,从各种地方收集卡牌再组卡组,然后打爆各种rune
Я рекомендую эту игру всем любителям карточных рогаликов.
Great fun!
There's a false sense of open world when really you have to proceed linearly. Areas open but you can't beat them without cards in the proper order. With no map and quite slow walking, it's irritating walking around trying to find out where the next winnable battle may be.
Pleasant little puzzle game. Worth a play-through. Be warned that finding some of the items can be a bit fiddly and there is very little documentation to spot it (click under every clump of bushes to find that hidden rune for example).
I liked the game. I give it a 3.8 of 5 stars until now, I haven't beat it yet or collected all the cards. It's a game that I'm going to backup on my Hard Drive (if Steam stop existing someday. Probably someone will discover a way of installing from backups without the Steam server). I think it could be better if you could add more than 1 copy of every card in the deck. I can't beat some runes with orange in the middle, I'm too bad right now. I will have to improve my decks. At first, didn't know what to do. I didn't understand that I had to press conjure then select a object like a tree, the campfire, and the raft, when close to it, even when the tutorial told me to do so. Interesting mechanic of unlocking cards anyways.
Started the game with excitement but later closed the game with frustration. Pros:

Interesting concept of creating the cards available for the deck
Soundtrack
Storyline
In first part of the game clever battle design to insist of thinking what deck to build (later in game the battle design becomes poor designed)
Cons:

Lack of animations here and there
Poor tutorial in terms of explaining the card stats (what each figure on the card means)
Later in game battle design is poorly done. You always are overpowered by enemy and it starts with handicap of health and energy. You should wait for cards in particular sequence (with very small deviations) to have a chance to win. And so you are waiting al the time for these cards in "correct" sequence. It is not story about deckbuilding anymore but waiting for another session hoping on right cards in hand.
