Mad Devils is a 1990's throwback, retro co-op, arcade shooter set in a twisted WWII setting. What does an Allied special forces squad who hunt Nazi occultists do when betrayed, killed, and resurrected as demons, lost and disoriented in ruined hellscape? Their job.

There's some good things to say and some bad things. First of all it's an indie game so the expectations are not as high as they would be with a AAA game. Let's start with the good: 1)The atmosphere is good, but sometimes overbearing (see bad.2) 2)You can upgrade your weapons and their damage type. 3)It's intended as a co-op game, but you can play it alone just fine too. 4)A somewhat interesting story. 5)Not an exremely long game. The so-so: 1)No map, making navigation difficult. 1A)Even an overlay transparent map like Diablo 2 would be helpful. 1B)Or an indicator towards the direction of the next objective. 2)Controls could be somewhat better 2A)I would change charge attack to right click, and make left click free-fire while being pressed down 2B)I almost never used melee attack, but it could be moved to another button. The Bad: 1)There were a handful of times that I had to reload the game because enemies would not spawn 2)Certain parts of the game have way too much effects currently, being unable to see the road(most notably at the ice level) 3)Certain parts of the game have navigation/pacing issues resulting in the character being stuck. While its a bit rough around the edges you can see the love that went into the game. There aren't a lot of twin stick shooters around anymore and its nice to see the genre still have devs willing to make the game. Cross play would be great as I have friends on console who love the twin stick genre!
The co-op sessions are hella fun! Nice and atmospheric presentation, too!
Any excuse to play a co-op game where you battle Nazi's is good in my books.
I received this game from the developer on online gamescom 4 years ago and finally got to it on my backlog - unfortunately, I couldn't complete it. The amount of bugs was large, but not unbearable, until one level where I couldn't progress due to game requiring me to move across barely seeable footprints on a map so bright, that even after lowering any brightness options on my PC and monitor I could, they still were partialy invisible. The story and voice acting are okay, but this feel so much like an unfinished prototype that I cannot recommend it.
Mad Devils is not a good game. It's rough in every way imaginable and the online netcode is so broken that the co-op partner sometimes is invincible and sometimes can't see the enemies. The art direction is bland, the sound design is god awful, the gameplay loop doesn't feel good and the narrative presentation is boring. For 15€ it's a bit steep, even when the indie studio's experience and resources are taken into account. It's just not enjoyable. But at least it's a game where you kill Nazis, that's always nice.
15 minutos me bastaron para ver un juego mal optimizado y aburrido. Movimientos toscos, imprecisos.
This game is very unresponsive and the lack of music makes playing the game fairly dull. In multiplayer you have such heavy desynchronization that sometimes enemies are invisible or just straight up only damage one of the players. But hell if I ever pass up the chance to recommend an indie game about killing nazis.
