👾 MacShot Note: The first part of this review is going to be on english and the second part in spanish. I get this game here in Steam through MalysterSnur (who is the dev of the game) so thank you for the chance to try it! Note 2: Yes, I know my english is not the best so you can find some mistakes! Please let me know if I wrote something in a wrong way so I can fix it! MacShot is a platform and also a shooter game about some little balls that lived in peace...but [i]suddenly the Zero dimensional energy diamond is stolen! and now the little balls are enslaved![/i] Fortunately Mac (our protagonist) seems to be a kind of a sorcered..so now you have to help him to save the little balls! Can you save them?? We start the adventure in a place full of enemies that we can shoot if we get a gun! This is the funny part of the game, you have to be quicky and shoot all of them before Mac die! Also we have to jump in the platforms so we can get the coffee! This coffee works like a [i]power=up[/i] and we can fly and get the diamonds in the sky of the level and a beautiful and giant star! And what about the lifes? Do you like hamburguers? Well.. it work like lifes that we can find in all the levels. I know I said we can shoot, but what about bombs? This remind me a lot others retro games (I've played years ago, like bomberman) you can drop some bombs to the enemies! I'm not really good with platforms and I die a few times! The game has [i]save points[/i] that we can find in the levels, this help me a lot. When I finished a level I found like a minigame, in this game you have to shoot the circles in the screen and get the points that are marked so you can past to the next level! (this might help you to practice the shoot) At the end of every level we can see an animation to the next level, this was really cool to see! 🎼 About the music and sounds: I found in Youtube that the creator made differents songs for each level so this is really hard work and I appreciated. 8 songs are at least in this game! You can listen all of them here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7UuNpn5bkA&t=884s I like the songs and I think there are some references in the melodies that you can remember from others retro games. I don't really like some sounds and noices because I think they are too loud: the gun sound effect in the menu maybe it could be replaced for other effect. I think the sound that I mostly like is the power-up effect sound! ⭐ About graphics and animation: I know this is a indie game and I can't expect professional graphics or animations, but in this game I think the animations are good for now, of course they can be better in the future. I like the power-up animation, this was my favourite part! ⚡ Other stuff I found in the menu of the game: - You can configure the keys in the way you want. - A ranking board with your points. - This was interesting to see, the history of the game is in the menu like in a section apart. - You can see the intro anytime you want! - You can play in normal o professional mode (this last one have 24 levels!) In conclusion: MacShot is and old & new experience for the people who like to play platforms games, why? Because you have a sort of a new mecanism with the shooting part. ✅ You can find some references like the enemies and Mac himself they remind me to character from the Pacman games. ✅ The music is a really good point of this game. ❌ Some sounds effects can be different in my opinion. ❌ There's like a [i]delay[/i] between when you pressed some buttons and the animation. ✅ The levels are fun to play and challenging. ✅ It was a good choice to put the history in a section apart so you can watch it anytime you want. ❌ I wish you can see how many lifes you have and also how many hamburguers you have left. ❌ The game is only in english. I enjoy this game and I hope in the future we can get achievements or another version with some improvements! ✨ My grade: 8/10 Note 3: The spanish translate is going to be on the comments section!
