Taquin-like.

Lynn, The Girl Drawn On Puzzles is a thoughtfully composed puzzle adventure that blends narrative storytelling, traditional art influences, and methodical problem-solving into a unified and emotionally resonant experience. Developed and published by DOTORIS, the game distinguishes itself not through mechanical excess or flashy presentation, but through a careful balance of atmosphere, story, and steadily evolving puzzle design. From the outset, it presents itself as something closer to an interactive folktale than a conventional puzzle game, inviting players to slow down and immerse themselves in a world painted with intention and care. The premise centers on Lynn, a young girl who finds herself trapped within a mystical painting created by a legendary Nine-Tailed Fox. This painted world is not merely a backdrop, but a living space shaped by myth, memory, and lingering emotion. As players guide Lynn through a series of interconnected puzzles, fragments of story gradually emerge, revealing themes of loss, curiosity, and the quiet determination to escape a fate imposed by forces beyond her control. Rather than delivering exposition through heavy dialogue, the game allows its narrative to unfold naturally through visual cues, brief story segments, and the symbolism embedded within each chapter. Puzzle gameplay forms the structural backbone of the experience, and while the mechanics appear simple at first, they steadily grow in complexity and depth. Players manipulate the environment to create safe paths for Lynn, often shifting tiles, avoiding patrolling spirits, and timing movements carefully to prevent capture. Each chapter introduces new mechanics at a measured pace, ensuring that challenges feel fresh without becoming overwhelming. The puzzles reward thoughtful planning and observation over trial-and-error reflexes, making progress feel earned and intellectually satisfying. As levels grow more intricate, players are encouraged to think several steps ahead, considering enemy behavior and environmental interactions as part of a cohesive solution. What elevates the puzzles beyond abstract logic is how seamlessly they tie into the game’s narrative flow. Solving a puzzle does not merely advance a level counter; it feels like pushing deeper into the heart of the painting itself. Each cleared section uncovers additional story context or visual flourishes that reinforce the sense of journey. This integration ensures that the gameplay never feels disconnected from the story being told, creating a sense of purpose that carries players forward even through more challenging sections. Visually, Lynn, The Girl Drawn On Puzzles is one of the game’s most striking strengths. The ink-and-wash art style draws heavily from traditional East Asian painting, using flowing brush strokes, muted color palettes, and expressive silhouettes to create a world that feels timeless and dreamlike. Characters and environments appear as if they were painted onto parchment, and subtle animations bring these illustrations gently to life. This artistic direction is not simply aesthetic; it reinforces the idea that the entire experience takes place within a living artwork, blurring the line between environment and narrative. The soundtrack complements this visual identity with restraint and elegance. Traditional instrumentation and ambient melodies underscore the game’s emotional beats without overpowering them, enhancing moments of tension, reflection, and quiet discovery. Sound design is used sparingly but effectively, ensuring that each auditory cue feels intentional and supportive of the game’s contemplative tone. While the overall experience is carefully crafted, the game does show some limitations. Certain quality-of-life features, such as limited undo options or slower restarts, can occasionally interrupt the puzzle-solving rhythm, particularly in later levels where precision matters more. Additionally, some mechanics are introduced with minimal guidance, which may cause brief confusion before their logic becomes clear. These moments, however, rarely feel unfair and often encourage deeper engagement with the puzzle logic rather than diminishing enjoyment. Narratively, the game maintains a gentle but persistent emotional undercurrent. Themes of confinement, curiosity, and resilience are explored without heavy-handedness, allowing players to interpret much of Lynn’s journey through symbolism and visual storytelling. The presence of mythical elements, spirits, and folklore-inspired characters adds texture to the story while keeping it grounded in Lynn’s personal struggle to escape the painting and uncover the truth behind her entrapment. In the end, Lynn, The Girl Drawn On Puzzles succeeds as a cohesive artistic experience where story, puzzles, and presentation are inseparable. It offers a satisfying progression of challenges while maintaining a strong emotional identity that lingers beyond completion. For players who appreciate puzzle games with narrative depth, cultural inspiration, and a deliberate pace, it stands as a memorable and quietly powerful journey through a world drawn not just on puzzles, but on imagination itself. Rating: 7/10
This is a good story driven sliding puzzle game with few twists that make a big difference in the bigger picture. Look, I am not a fan of the genre but every now and then I like to give these kind of games a go and this one is for the most part a breath of fresh air. I say breath of fresh air because this is a casual game but the game throws 15 or 20 levels that will challenge your brain and make you think about solving the puzzles by planning your next move. To be honest the story is very important in this game, if it wasn't I would've quit the game during the casual puzzles. The other factor is the beautiful art style that gives this game a different feel and goes well with the story. Now the music is for the most part good but I didn't like the faster tracks while solving the puzzles, they were more soothed to a faster style of games and not sliding puzzles. I completed all the levels in the game and read the developers notes, to be fair they said they were going for a casual game but also wanted to add some harder levels. In my humble opinion the harder levels are the highlight of this game. All in all a good sliding puzzler with enough content and some good twists to make the game more challenging, beautiful art style, engaging story and good OST . The only negative is that some tracks don't sooth the slow paced sliding puzzles. I recommend this one but at a discount.

It's a relaxing puzzle game that caters to my emotions. To 'IDMhan', I'm not sure how many people will watch the credits, but once they do they will come back for more for the amazing music and visuals presented. .
