LUXOR, the #1-selling, action-puzzle game, blasts outside Egypt's borders and onto the Silk Road in search of riches beyond imagination. One of the most beautiful and well-known faces in history is also one of its greatest mysteries.

I think this the 9th one I have played. Same gameplay like the others. Good fun but.
Of the seven Luxor Games released between 2005 & 2012, (not counting the HD remakes or the Adventures and Mahjong games) Quest for the Afterlife, is in my opinion the best of the bunch. There's a decent variety of level types to keep you entertained and you travel throughout ancient Egypt on a level map, unlocking various tools to aid you in your journey. While playing, capture as many gold coins as you can that usually drop when you manage to destroy more than one group of marbles, as these coins allow you to upgrade one of several power ups that are useful in your quest to complete a level. Occasionally scarabs on a chest appear in the game field, try to hit these with any of the coloured marbles before they disappear as they are only temporary. If you managed to hit them they drop a number of gold coins, however, often they are blocked by the trains of marbles that you are trying to destroy. This is one of my favourite types of Match Three games and took over from the Zuma franchise after I first played it many years ago. I originally purchased it from Reflexive arcade back in 2008 before Amazon scooped the game house up and forced me to rebuy it again as they closed down the registration servers for all of the Reflexive games. If you can't decide which of the Luxor games to buy, I highly recommend this one, with Luxor Evolved released on Steam in 2012 a distant second. timeless masterpiece.
Best one in the series, it's visually stunning even to this day, if you're gonna pick one on this series it's definitely this one
great game, require bit of understanding for map but then its fun! and kinda have optimal routes to do what I find out bit too late :D no problem brutal difficulty I'm ready :D
When I firstly got it, i thought I can grind it within a day, but as it turns out, there is some god awful mechanic of "chasing", and you might clear all of these stages, but you supposted to catch a thief, which as I remember, might not even appear sometimes. It's more about "the ♥♥♥♥ do I do" more than luxor. Visuals are probably OK but it's really not my style, there is like at best 7 levels that do repeat extremely often. The useless "assistance" where ball is very close to the pyramid, it would give you the color of the ball that is about to make you loose the game, and it's not like in Luxor 1-2, where it only sometimes gives you a ball of necessary color, no, this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game gives you 100% of time the ball that is very close to the pyramid. Why is that bad? - Because there is a 2-scarab level where it goes as circle, so if 1 scarab is covering your entire screen, simply by existing at the start of his line, and 2nd scarab is already at the end, you would get a useless color that you can't do anything with. I'm definetly hater of this one, but still gonna grind a 100 hours just for the love of the franchise (and not this game in specific)
