About
A mind-blowing, fiendishly addictive reinvention of the puzzle classic Lumines from the creators of Tetris® Effect: Connected, where sound pulses through your body, mind, and every block you place, triggering dazzling visuals synched to the driving beat of an infectious, eclectic soundtrack.
Journey through over 35 stages of synesthetic sensory wonderlands, everything from lush jungles to buzzing neon streets to more surreal experiences, matching blocks and crafting insane combos with the all-new Burst mechanic. Mix it up with a variety of other single-player modes and challenges, or test your mettle against friends or strangers in online multiplayer.
Whether you’re looking to get hyped up or chill out, new to the series or a veteran, have an hour to kill or just five minutes, want to play solo, with friends, or challenge strangers, or play in optional VR or stunning 4K, Lumines Arise is the ultimate puzzle game.

Lumines Arise is easy to pick up and play, but has incredible depth that’s harder to master. Players manipulate 2x2 blocks of two colors that fall from the top of the screen, aiming to create Squares of a single color/type. A Timeline sweeps across the Playfield to the beat of the music, clearing completed 2x2 Squares and generating points.

Every stop on the over 35-stage single-player journey evokes a different and complex emotional response. From lush jungles, oceans teeming with life and snakes preparing to strike, to more electronic frontiers like bustling neon streets and the endless expanse of outer space.

Trigger the new Burst mechanic to stop a matched Square from clearing. Build it as large as you can until time runs out. When the Timeline starts clearing again, enjoy the show as screen-clearing combos rack up massive points.

Customize your Loomii Avatar from the largest selection of options the series has ever offered. It’s a great way to express yourself and your personality when setting off on your in-game journey.

Let the electrifying soundtrack by Hydelic, acclaimed composer of Tetris Effect: Connected and Rez Infinite’s Area X, take you to new depths of immersion. You’ll want to throw on a pair of your favorite headphones for maximum effectiveness. Use the Playlist feature to create a mix of stages with your favorite tracks or to set a specific mood.

Lumines Arise is an incredible experience — gorgeous visuals, amazing inspiring music, and gameplay that syncs perfectly with the soundtrack. Every stage feels hypnotic and immersive, and the combination of audio and visuals makes it hard to put down. Easily one of the most stylish and satisfying puzzle games I’ve played in years.
Gorgeous in every sense of the word. I found myself awe inspired on multiple occasions. I am just not as good with Lumines as I am with Tetris. But now that I know other puzzle games are on the table, can they bring back Columns, or hell, even make a Puyo Puyo game?

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very good game, the online is a really good bonus. I like how the rankings (by platform and word) are made and how digdown mode was reworked.
A falling-block puzzle game combined with watching a music video. It's great to just sit back and get into the music. Playing it on a keyboard may result in wrist pain.
this is not a game, this is art. Would recommand on steamdeck like tetris was on gameboy
forgot to review this a coupla months ago, but i quite like this one a lot. though, i think it has the weakest music in the series by far. there's way too little variety, so many of the tracks are just EDM-esque. which i mean, nothing wrong with that (to an extent) but at a certain point this soundtrack starts sounding like UK chav oonce-oonce-oonce noise. man, you guys really dropped the ball there. and theres so much visual clutter too. yeah it does look nice, but its pretty annoying to play against. feels like the game is fighting me lmao. whatever, the lumines gameplay loop is untouchable, so id still recommend this one despite everything. but if the previous complaints of mine put you off, then i would strongly recommend picking up Lumines Remastered (or if you have a PS Vita, PLEASE play Electronic Symphony. its music picks are so damn peak)
This is Lumines in its most refined form with an incredible presentation and a lot of different ways to play. It runs like butter on both my main rig, but also on my MSI Claw 8 AI+. The main Journey mode will challenge you but when you zone in just right, it's one of the purest types of flow state. Some have complained that the constantly changing visual styles of the levels make them hard to follow and unnecessarily add to the difficulty but I personally disagree and think that adapting to those changes is part of the challenge. Multiplayer on the other hand is something that will require a ton of practice and quick reflexes. Most of the players I got matchmade with were playing on another level and made short work of me. There are online time attack and challenge modes as well that if played on weekends, help contribute to community challenges that unlock special cosmetics, which is a nice incentive to keep coming back and encouraging the community to work together. If you already like Lumines, don't even question it and just buy this. If you haven't played Lumines before or are unsure, grab the demo and try it out but as flow state games go, this is among the best of them.
