Long ago, in the golden era of Talea, the Emperor kept the lands peaceful, and the people prospered. After passing away without naming a successor between his twin sons, a civil war raged between the North, Logos and the South, Mythos - fighting for who would take control of the throne. The townsfolk lived in fear from the atrocities being carried out in the conflict. In a bid to stop the destruction, a part of the empire’s military became Talea’s dedicated protectors.
From the everlasting darkness of war, these people were the beacon of light that brought people hope. The Lumen were born, and as guardians in their provinces, they ensure the safety of the residents of Talea, both the people and the Animon.
Since ancient times, people have long studied the Animon. Not much is known of their nature to this day. They’re made of Anivis, an energy that flows through the whole world, and they possess the ability to affect emotions and interact with the very soul of every living being. Catch the Animon and become inseparable partners as you harness their elemental powers and battle alongside each other with your Holoken.

Test your skills with the Holoken and catch Animon in the field to recruit them to your party or initiate an incredible and exciting battle against them to prove your mettle! Every Animon can perform their own abilities and skills, and victory is achieved through using the best strategy with your team. There are around 140 known species with 13 elemental types, which are categorized with attributes depending on the emotion they're able to evoke in people.

Engage in thrilling 1v1 duels or team up for epic 4v4 showdowns with your party in battle. Level up your Animon and outsmart your opponents by using the best strategy to win. Each Animon has strengths and weaknesses for you to uncover, so use them to your advantage.
With up to 3 different ways to trade your Animon, you can effortlessly complete your collection and build the perfect battle team. Connect to the Animon Trade Station to seek the Animon you need, trade directly with friends, or the community.

While on your adventure, be sure to take a rest at the Fountain, where you’ll be able to craft useful items and cook delicious food! If you’re feeling adventurous, you’ll be able to experiment with ingredients to help nurture your Animon.
The Anispace is a place that exists and doesn’t exist at the same time. A space detached from the world as we know it. Here is where you’ll find your Animon after you capture them and where you’ll be able to train your Animon for battle. Customise their space when they’re not in your battle party and create stronger bonds with them!

It isn't perfect but no indie pokemonlike is. However as far as that style goes, it is definitly one of the best if youre willing to look past some minor bugs
Molto godibile, un clone pokemon con qualche meccanica diversa.
Pretty good game, liked the story and the difficulty on Ace. Some minor UI bugs here and there but mostly fine. 9/10
It's a monster catching game with new mechanics. I love this game!
its a very nintendo switch pokemon game esgue type of game, similar to the ones lets go eevee and lets go pikachu alike, the designs for each animon and the battles are wonderful and the mechanics can be finnicky but moderately easy to get the hang of, if you played pokemon games before then it is rather easy to get a footing in the game and get a good grasp on the features an how everything works, the fountains scattered about in the area animon roam freely and shop lady at the starting town is very useful, strategy and experience an research will get you far in the game, i recommend having chatgpt on your side at all times in-case you have any questions you cannot find out the answer to yet, like evolution lines of any animon you encounter or find, very reliable. this game is very alike to pokemon games, simply a perfect way to play pokemon stuff if you have no nintendo switch or when its either being used or charging and your dying to play. an i am experienced an played many pokemon games, so my word is everything. at first i thought this game was a mistake an i should get a refund, but after starting anew game, i found out that it was worth every penny an dollar i spent on getting the game. this is a rather five-star game thats similar to pokemon games.
As a lifelong Pokémon fan who has fallen out of the franchise with recent games, LumenTale is a welcome alternative. This game is clearly made by a caring team that are passionate about the genre and it was a great game to play through. I loved the addition of attributes with elements that adds depth to the team building. My favorite changeup was the four-member team battles where you are often fighting animon stronger than your team and you are having to strategize to win instead of just attacking with super-effective moves. There is room to make each member of your team have a build to fit their role and the mechanics to prevent over-leveling kept the game feeling like a challenge all the way through. I wish the ending format was different but will not give spoilers. The story overall was predicable but every town was its own character and left a different impression. My main criticism is the variety of evolution conditions as one it tied to real life time and others feel clunky. The game does an amazing job giving you clues about the evolutions and I found the hunt for the legendries to be their own adventure and not just a last minute box to check off for completion. I will revisit this game in the future to build new teams and replay the story. -8.5/10 highly recommend
I honestly fell in love with this game. The art is absolutely gorgeous, the environments are stunning, the music is insane. The story is interesting and makes me feel like i want to find out more because it gets deeper and deeper. I love almost every animon, so it's hard for me to choose who to put on my team. lol The game might have some bugs and details to polish, but considering this is the first game ever of this studio, i can only tip my hat to them. Well done.
10/10 peak game cant recommend enough. Only experienced one bug and its patched now, cant wait for dlc.
I will begin this review with stating that I backed the Kickstarter for this game from when it was first announced. I loved the style, the HD-2D thing, I love monster catching as a genre, like Nexomon and Coromon. I was really excited to play this, and when I finally got a hold of it (I got it a little after release due to issues) I loved it. You can see the little thumbs up on this post, which means that I did indeed like it, but as charming as this game is, it is. so. frustrating. In the beginning I wanted to 100% this game but I have chosen not to, even though I 100% nearly every single game that I love. Let me explain my journey through this game. The Looks- 10/10 This game looks and feels incredible. I love the art style, the characters, animations, backgrounds and Animon all look amazing. I pray that the next game keeps the same style, because they knocked it out of the park. I have issues in monster catching games where I sadly just don't want any of the creatures. For example, Temtem. I do not want them. I do not want any of them. If you do, go crazy, I could not beat the game because I just genuinely didn't like anyone on my team, but the creatures in this game were so creative, I actually had 4 teams of 6 that I switched back and forth constantly because I genuinely wanted all of them on my team. It was very difficult to go to the finale of the game with one team. Back on track, the game is gorgeous. The art department did an overall phenomenal job with everything. The Story and Characters- 9/10 One thing I've noticed about good monster catching games is they always have a good story, and this one is no less than those. Starting the game, you understand all the characters you meet. The character you play as has so much charm and personality to them along with every other character. So I do have a complaint. As you go along through this game, you go into different cities that always have some kind of important story going on. I really like these stories as an idea, but it's strange for every city to have a very important thing going on that only you can fix with no cities just being normal. Also, I get invested in some of these stories for some of them to end very quickly, when I wanted to see more of some of these characters. The art style is so amazing and the writing is really good, I want more fleshed out stories, even if it means less characters overall. Back to the story, it has a lot of emotion put into it. I got emotional for some characters, I really felt what they felt. One thing I must explain is that you, Trey, the main character, have an amnesia trope going on. As the story progresses, you slowly uncover more and more. I'm gonna be completely honest, none of that ever made any sense to me until the very end of the game, which might have been intentional, but nonetheless it was just cutscenes that I saw and was like "okay more game now." Now, it might be that I'm a Pokemon fan and can't read (fair) but it was just a little too much, and each memory was incredibly scattered. Still, the story is amazing, and ALL of the characters are well written (debatable on the big boss of the game.) Choose Your Own Path- 8/10 This game has two types of "Choose Your Own Path" sections. I will be splitting the paragraphs explaining them each. Logos or Mythos- 9/10 Logos and Mythos are the two different areas that the map is split into. One is more ancient and keeps the past in mind, and one is more technological and focused on the future. Early in the game you choose which direction to head in and that will change who you fight first and which Animon you encounter. There are actually variants of certain Animon depending on which area you are in, which is really cool, and there are a lot more than I ever thought there would be in a game like this. I really REALLY like this choice. It just adds a little more freedom to the game, also they have level scaling depending on which area you go to first, thank god, Scarlet and Violet could never. I love this option a lot. Good V.S. Evil? 4/10 During pivotal moments in this game it will give you an option to make a big decision, usually it revolves around the fate of the villain of each city. So, I'm gonna be honest, I really liked this feature in the beginning of the game, but then it stopped happening??? I'm not confident. I thought it was really cool, but I just kind of forgot that was a part of the game, because like, it disappeared??? I was told it would change the game, but I'm not sure at all what it did. I am not researching what it does because everything on the internet about this game is unfinished and no one really knows anything about this game. I have NO CLUE what those options did. Like. At all. I thought it would leave to different endings, but the finale of the game is so long I'm not willing to do that again. So. I'm leaving it at that. Sidequests - 3/10 So, again, when I first started the game, I wanted to 100% the game. But. God. The. Sidequests. Suck. Before you say ANYTHING, I of all people can speak on this. I did all the sidequests in Pokemon Legends Z-a, ALL OF THEM. I 100%ed that game completely. The dex, the story, all sidequests, and got the final ending cutscene for beating it. but this game. GOD. this game did not do a good job with sidequests at all. So. To begin with, there are no notifications above characters if they have a sidequest available. You just have to kinda talk to everyone and see if they have a side quest, which already sucks. That is not how games should be at all and that should not have been a difficult thing to add to the game. Then, you get brought on meaningless sidequests that usually do nothing for you in the slightest and then once you finish it, you get a meaningless item like an anispace item. New Achievement! Wow, you get an item for the smallest room in history, you will NEVER have room to make an actual room you like, and there is no purpose in the slightest that you will ever use in this room. Woopee, Reward: F#%& you that is the reward, enjoy the smallest room infested with internet bugs. I do not like these sidequests, I do not feel satisfied by them in the slightest. There is no list in the game of all the sidequests, if you want the achievement for completing all the sidequests, SCREW YOU GO FIGURE IT OUT ON YOUR OWN OR USE THE COMPLETELY UNFINISHED WIKI BECAUSE 8 PEOPLE CURRENTLY PLAY THIS GAME. AGH. OKAY GREAT. I. I do not like this. I will say, some sidequests do a good job at fleshing out a main character. But if it's a sidequest that doesn't involve a main character, it's probably gonna be a sidequest where you need to find a big leaf, fight a bird and they give you a three pennies and a pile of dirt. I will continue this review in the comments or wherever I can.
