About
Luhor's Memory is a roguelike Hack'n Slash where you combat the attack of a vengeful god and his commanders.
The game has a fast paced combat system in which an aggressive playstyle is your best way to survival.
You flaunts a shield powered by ambrosia, which flows strongly in your enemies. Any hit on an enemy will empower this shield.
Two melee attack chains carve through close-range encounters.
A dash lets you weave through danger.
Two ranged options eliminate threats from afar.
Devastating special attack combos add deadly versatility.
A week before the events of this game, the sky breaks open and reveals a massive eye.
This is Feitecheen, a god from a pantheon of eldritch beings.
To these gods, worship manifests as ambrosia: a highly addictive substance they crave.
Humanity however, has recently undergone another renaissance, ushering a new age of peace prosperity and beauty.
The soulless gray boxes of brutalism being torn down and replaced with the beauty and elegance of art nouveau.

With this new era of peace and prosperity, the people have gradually turned away from religion. They want for nothing, and no longer feel the need to pray.
The gods, long accustomed to humanity’s worship, do not accept this silence.
Angered by the absence of worship, one of these gods had decided this was unacceptable. He descended upon the mortal realm and reclaimed the worship through fear.
This game was made by 6 students as a group project assignment for their third year in the bachelor Digital Arts & Entertainment at Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen in Belgium.
The music was composed by Ziggy Sunaert, student at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp.

Beautifully made roguelike indie that genuinely impressed me. The team accomplished a lot in a short development time, and it really shows how focused and passionate they were. The scenery evokes interwar New York blended with supernatural elements, reminiscent of Valve’s Deadlock, and the atmosphere is incredibly charming. The gameplay also carries strong Hades vibes, fast and satisfying. There are areas that could evolve further, but that only makes me more excited to see what this team does next. This already feels like a strong foundation for even bigger projects in the future. Congratulations to Jan, Laurens and Margo, I'm glad to have met you during those years of study and I wish you all the best going forward! And congratulations as well to the rest of the team.
Definitely a good demo and looks promising. It feels heavily inspired by Hades, but is sufficiently different from it. here's the things I want to address: Pro's: - The telegraphing of enemy, player and the portal events are very nice. It's easy to tell what will happen. - Usage of color throughout the levels is a pretty nice touch to visualize how far you've progressed. The desaturating after becoming low HP is also very helpful at times. - The environment and in general the art in this demo has gotten a lot of love and I love how it feels. On top of that, the VFX look very nice. There's a lot of it, but it doesn't feel overused or distracting and portrays the actions pretty well. - The levels each feel unique and different. - Mechanics are very solid. They can combo into each other and offer versatility. - As of right now, I have found or encountered zero bugs. Very nice! Cons: - At the start, the intro dialogue has a typo, so that could be a quick fix. - I feel like sometimes, abilities of enemies feel a bit slow. Especially the ranged enemies' teleport attack. - For the psychic enemy, I feel like the two attacks could be a little more different from each other. It's the only enemy from which it is harder to tell what It will do. - The bright glow around the character is a bit much I feel. It's hard to see the design of the character this way. - I think you're a bit on the edge with how similar the game is to Hades, so it could be an idea to try and make some things a bit more unique. The gun and poise meter are parts that set it apart for me, but for the rest it feels very similar. Overall, I feel like this game has a lot of potential for growth, both in lore and gameplay. Personally, my favorite mechanic was the pistol. It feels snappy and balanced (as in that it doesn't shred an enemy in one shot). Wishing you luck to the road towards 10 reviews!

I really enjoyed this game and hoped there was more. This game is definitely a fun play for people who enjoy souls-like games. Overall well made and some nice visuals and sound design!
This game is seriously fun! its a soulslike hack n slash, with a moody dark mood. give it a try, trust me :D
Not a roguelike (there is no buffs to choose and other than minor variations in the rooms, there is no randomness). Also very punishing for every mistake you make. Two hits will typically kill you, regardless of what you get hit by. This means you can play perfectly for a long time and then die in 1 second. As if that's not bad enough in itself, there's a monster with target seeking projectiles that follow you around corners and will even do a U-turn if you dodge past them.
This game is a love letter to anyone who's trying to make it in the game industry. These students clearly had a vision and the skills to make it true. The gameplay feels smooth, the environment is beautiful, the music is lovely and the user interface fits perfectly with the theme and neatly ties its lore together. Stamp of approval!
Where is the roguelike ? It's sad to advertise it like one :'(
