Really fun platformer. Lots of original characters and music and story but gameplay is just a classic platformer, however if you like that type of game, this is it and it is in VR and it is fun. Not super simple either despite the look, if you are going after every collectible in the game you will die sometimes. Worth having in library, always good to have some sit down games available.

[h1]Lucky's Tale: Cool To See, But Not Quite Holding Up[/h1] Lucky's Tale is probably one of the primordial Greek Titans of virtual reality, being released as a pack-in title for the original CV1 revision of the Oculus Rift(for the "young'uns" in the audience, the headset before the Quest) back when it still used an Xbox One pad. As such, it's probably one of the best games to get a modern remaster, and I could easily recommend it as a "intro to VR" title for anyone who's enjoyed games like Super Mario 3D Land or World. However, it doesn't quite hold its own as anything other than an intro, and it really isn't worth the $20 USD price point. Next, let's press on the controls. You can still use an Xinput-supported pad to play(just like the original), but you also get the choice of modern tracked VR controls(like the Oculus Touch, Valve Knuckles, and Vive Wands). However, during my playtime, I had to use a regular pad, since the Touch setup really isn't great. If it's any consolation, however, you CAN prod Lucky around, so... The platforming is fine. Think something like Banjo-Kazooie, except the camera is a drone glued to your head, pulling you around everywhere. Soon into the game, you get access to bombs and other projectiles, which require head-mounted aiming(not sure if you can change it, but whatever). Lucky has a double jump and a tail attack similar to Mario's tanooki suit for defense. The levels are pretty simple in the main game, simply needing you to reach the end of the level and maybe collect coins or gems for score and extra lives, but nothing much else. After you beat the main story, you still get the chance to do some time trials and a type of collectathon for each level, as well as hidden figurines for 100%-ers. As of when I'm writing this, I can't say much about these levels except that they exist. To put a bow on it, Lucky's Tale is pretty nice as far as VR remakes go, but the game itself feels malnourished when compared to other games you can get for 20 bucks. While you can say it fills a void left in the VR scene(due to there not being many VR platformers like this), at the end of the day I can't really say "pick this up ASAP"; it's more like "pick this up if the idea intrigues you". Even if you do want to play this game, you can easily get it cheaper on the Quest Link shop, where it's selling for $15 USD. However, it is really your choice.

Lucky's Tale was the game that introduced me to VR back when it came out on the Oculus Rift. Today it looks better than ever. It's a simple 3D Platformer though admittedly some of the red coin hunts are a bit annoying. Oh you can pet Lucky too and he looks so cute.

Remek kis játék. Ajánlom. Nekem induláskor nem volt hang de játék menübe állítva a hangerőn mindig megjavult. A játékból a menüjén keresztül nem lehet kilépni, steamon keresztül kilehet. Ez a két hiba volt. Meta quest 3 VD.

It's great for kids. But I also enjoy it, because it reminds me of Super Mario 64.
