Lovely Planet Remix extends the original game with a variety of drastic variations that impose restrictions like no mid-air control, no jumping, slower movement & bullet drop among others in the vein of older retro shooters with non-standard control schemes, some of which are designed intentionally to be unwieldy, cumbersome and annoying to play by modern standards. Please try the demo to sample the different styles before purchasing the game.

Another great Lovely Planet game, but this time with some really great new mechanics. Absolutely love the variety of weapon / movement combos. Tunnels is truly awesome. If you like mechanically pure shooting, this is an excellent experience!
After playing lovely planet for 5 years it feels good to beat this one the secrets are really well hidden and there is plenty of room for speedruning.
Excellent fast-paced shooter that proves more noise and effects do not make a more satisfying game. Lovely Planet really puts you in a trance, to the point where you can play a level for dozens of attempts without losing focus or getting bored. As for the modes people complain about, they certainly have flaws, but aren't as bad as people say. For example, Jelly has rather consistent physics that can be gotten used to and even mastered so as to hit airshots with your wobbly gun. Overall I feel there's much more good than bad here, and for such a low price it's honestly a no-brainer. Also the dev is awesome :-]
Great simple shooter that is very challenging and has fantastic music. The new variety of modes is a cool addition though the jelly mode isn't the greatest. Still recommended, and you can turn the psx wobble off if you don't like it
Criminally underrated, just spend those four bucks.
masterpiece of fps game design. so much variety... so much banging my head against insanely difficult levels I never thought I'd complete. so satisfying to finally get through. the game just keeps going... wow
Se parece a lovely planet 1 y 2, pero tiene algunos cambios en el gameplay. Hay algunos modos que son malisimos y otros que son igual a los otros juegos.
:)
i used to play the original lovely planet on my wii u dawg i had no idea how many games there were now. THIS GAME IS WORTH YOUR 7 BUCKS!!! PLAY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lovely Planet Remix continues delivering in those parts that previous Lovely Planet fps entries have with family friendly visual appeal but tough as nail challenge. What Remix brings new to the table is new weapons and each weapon with own special movement jump. Some of these weapons are not really improving/ innovating anything (like Tactical-gun which acts as regular gun but can only leap to air while also moving forward), some being incredibly frustrating (Jelly-gun should be banned from existence in this universe in my opinion), and some are really fun to use (like pistol) until difficulty rises up to inhuman levels (personally I felt that Classic Vol3 stages and onward were way too difficult). One gun I must seriously criticize is blink-gun. Not because it’s fun to play but there’s white screen-flash borders of screen each time you use it. While I don’t suffer epilepsy, I definitely noticed how using that weapon was not enjoyable for that reason (plus Blink vol1 was requiring inhuman reaction times but that’s not the biggest problem with this weapon).
Verdict:
While Lovely Planet Remix aims to bring variety to gameplay with new guns, only few of them actually feel fun to play with even with they’re restrictions and other half of added weapons if not frustrating, also harmful to people with tendency to epilepsy/ similar illnesses. If these drawbacks concern you I’d rather recommend buying and playing Lovely Planet 2: April skies but if you are up to frustration and/ or higher amount of challenge I can recommend buying Remix and playing to that point which you feel comfortable to. PS. I don't know why 2nd trailer in Steam-page says "Choose your weapon" when each stage your weapon is pre-determined. It would be actually cool if I could choose.
