I have been so excited for this release, and oh my I just can’t stop playing!! The dialogues feel fluid, and sometimes I cringe so much I have to tell myself these aren’t real people I am talking to haha The layout is nice, the design, and character artworks to die for, and the overall aesthetic is pleasing. I can’t wait to invest enough time in this game to go through all LI’s and collect all images, voice recordings, and calls!!! Be warned though it is veryyy heavy on VTuber terminology, but for most keywords there's a note that explains it to you :).
Don't buy this game YET! And I don't mean that in a rude way. I actually really like this game and I see A LOT of potential in it. I had a lot of fun playing it, I giggled, I literally moved my feet around during some interactions, and I haven't played another game in a while that made me react like that. But if you're expecting a complete game experience right now, wait. I knew this was Early Access, but I don't think I was prepared for just how early the Early Access actually was. That's partly on me for not investigating more before buying it, so take that into consideration. But when I saw the gameplay and how much of the game seemed to be available, I genuinely thought I would at least be able to finish one complete route. Instead, I reached "Route Coming Soon." My first route was Pochi, so I initially thought, "Oh, maybe she's a secondary character and her route is something they're adding later." Then I went for Equinox and... also Route Coming Soon. And that's when I realized: "Wait. I paid for this game and I don't actually have an ending yet." 😂 Again, I know it's Early Access. I understand what I bought. But personally, I didn't feel much of a difference between the demo and the Early Access version besides getting to choose who I wanted to pursue. That was a little disappointing. So my advice is: if you want the full experience, don't buy it yet. Wait until the routes are complete. If you know what Early Access means and you're happy to support the developers while the game grows, then I think buying it now is completely fair. I also remember seeing that the price may increase when the game is finished, so buying it now and waiting until the full release might actually be a good option. I would LOVE to see some kind of development roadmap, though. I played another Early Access game, Mistria, that had information about when they expected the full game, and I really appreciated being able to plan around that. I am absolutely the kind of person who will prepare every walkthrough and route beforehand so that when the game is finally complete, I'm READY. 😂
Routes
I had some trouble with Dolphin Daddy and Wizard. I tried making different choices repeatedly and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong without a guide. With Wizard, I eventually understood that my personality just doesn't match what he wants, which makes sense in hindsight—but without a walkthrough, I probably never would have figured that out. And when I finally completed Dolphin Daddy's route with a guide, I was like, "Okay, I see what you were trying to do here." So I think the routes could benefit from giving the player a little more feedback about what they're doing, especially while there aren't complete walkthroughs available.
The emails
I really like the idea of the emails. I actually think they're a really clever way of teaching people about cybersecurity without making it feel like a cybersecurity lesson. My problem is that sometimes I don't have enough information to determine whether something is phishing. For example, if I get an email saying something like, "We're going to see you tomorrow about your loan," but I don't know whether I have a loan with that company, how am I supposed to determine whether it's phishing? Some of them are much easier. The school-related ones, for example, can have obvious red flags. But when I get something like "This is your dentist, you have an appointment tomorrow," I'm sitting there thinking: "Okay... do I HAVE a dentist appointment tomorrow? Is this actually my dentist? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?" 😂 If the intended lesson is that suspicious emails should be checked against information you already have, I think the game could give us a little more context to make those decisions. Also: I want more money emails. I liked the idea, but right now I didn't really understand the importance of money outside of sending Super Chats. I got to the point where I was like, "Okay, I sent all my Super Chats... now what?" Obviously, this is an early version of the game, so I'd love to see money become more meaningful if it's going to be an important mechanic.
Minigames
I didn't really get to experience the typing minigame properly because I was playing on a controller, and typing with the controller wasn't really happening. 😂 I know the game isn't currently designed around controllers, so I'm not really holding that against it. But if controller support becomes a thing in the future, it might be worth considering an alternative minigame for controller players. That said, I REALLY appreciated that the minigames were optional. Because of that, playing with a controller didn't negatively affect my overall experience.
The characters ❤️
Now for the part where I have to say that I REALLY enjoyed the game. The voices are fantastic. The characters feel like actual people, and that's probably one of my favorite things about the game. I kept thinking: "Oh my God, I know someone like this from Discord." And sometimes the dialogue would have me thinking: "WHY IS THIS SOMETHING I WOULD ACTUALLY REPLY?!" 😂 The characters are also ridiculously handsome/beautiful. Just saying. I also really appreciate the representation in the character designs, especially skin tones. I have darker skin myself, and a lot of otome games don't really give me characters that look like me, so seeing more variety here genuinely made me happy. I wouldn't call it perfect diversity yet, because I think there's still room for more variety in the models, but I really appreciate the direction it's going in.
The chats
I think the global chats could have more impact and variety depending on the route you're currently doing. After my first route, I basically started clicking through the Insta chats because I knew most of the conversations weren't going to have much impact on what I was doing. And honestly, I think that's pretty normal for an otome game. Once you've seen similar conversations multiple times, you start thinking, "Okay, I know this doesn't matter." I'd love for the chats to change more depending on who you're pursuing. For example, if I'm doing Zeta's route, maybe some conversations could reference him more, or my replies could feel more connected to what I'm currently experiencing. It would make the social media aspect feel more alive and make me want to actually read everything instead of eventually clicking through it.
Overall
I almost never write Steam reviews, but I really enjoyed this game, and I can see A LOT of potential here. I'm happy to support the project while it's growing. I genuinely want this game to become something great because the concept is absolutely my cup of tea. Dating + social media + the chaotic reality of online personalities? Yes. Give me more. So I'm not writing this review to roast the developers or say the game is bad. Quite the opposite. I'm writing it because I want this game to succeed, and if even one thing I mentioned here helps make the final game better, then I'm happy I wrote this. For now, though: Don't buy this game yet if you're expecting a complete experience. Buy it if you want to support the developers and don't mind playing Early Access—or buy it now and save it for when the routes are actually finished. I'll definitely be coming back. Thank you for reading! ❤️

been awaiting this release since hakka was announced as part of the voice cast and i'm having a lot of fun so far!! you definitely need to be well-versed in vtuber terminology to fully keep up with the conversations but hopefully the wikipedia/dictionary feature that's in the works will make the lingo more accessible to the casual fan. i can tell a lot of passion and hard work went into the art, voice acting, and writing on this one and from what i've seen so far i wholeheartedly recommend (especially if you've ever had an unhealthy parasocial relationship with a vtuber).
Spoilers ahead, oops. OKAY so I was going to wait a little while before i bought this but the art was so good I decided I'm an adult and can do what I want. I am SO GLAD I did. The art is beyond beautiful and I love the UI as well. I recently played Date with Death and it felt very similar. I like how real it feels, like a little computer hub with all the essentials built in a sweet little early 2000's desktop. You can even decorate your desktop which I thought was very cute. This game has great attention to detail. When alliances changes, shall we say, elements on your UI change. You can even update desktop BGs as you go if you want. I do think some parts were kinda insta love in some cases which I AM NOT against, but if you are sometimes they are like, OKAY WELL TALKING TO YOU IS LIKE TALKING TO THE MOON AND STARS, and you are like...damn okay. Now for me screaming intensified, but idk if y'all are freaks like that. The minigames in this had me shook quite honestly, I've never seen anything like it in a game like this. Typing tests and the spotting phishing emails and fake downloads was literally EDUCATIONAL. These Devs are doing work parents haven't been for decades, GOD BLESS THEM FOR IT. The voice acting is very good and I like that there is so much of it. I WILL SAY there are points were some of it feels still or maybe like...a little HEWWO DISCOWD KITTENNN, but honestly it wasn't that often and i played through every route i was interested in and very much enjoyed myself. My favorite was frog abs, play through and you will get to it eventually. !! One thing I will mention that threw me through a loop was the vtuber terminology. I really don't know ANYTHING about this world so sometimes I was scratching my head wondering if I had landed on a different planet with hot gamer boys who spoke another language. I mean, I STAYED but that's me. They do add quite a few hover over definitions which was really helpful and through context clues I figured out the rest. Also some of the language was GenZ coded. Many Bro's, no caps, fr fr's were had. If you are kinda dumb though it might be a struggle for real, my thoughts are with you. With the fast forward option playing through extra routes was very painless. I just turned it off when I got to new content I wanted to see and I appreciated the option. I couldn't find an exit button for like getting stuck during a stream and wanting to leave, but I might have missed that. It would be a nice option to have. This is one I will be keeping my eye on because it was really cute and I had fun playing it today. It is also one I would buy DLC for in the future because it's just that good.
Hello, I spent many hours playing first demo - then EA and i personally can say i highly recommend this game, LI are very fun to talk to, voice lines are great, graphic is amazing. Do i think that other LI chat blockage after automatic LI picking gives low/no possibility for friendship/relationship with others is quite saddening? Yes, but it have big room to grow and improve. Personally i have issues with typing mini game because i'm non native eng speaker but good thing it's not necessary to finish it to progress game. I enjoy features and other minigames. The team mage great game, constantly making upgrades and fixing game to make this game better, I love it so much it's making me giggle all the time so! I'm telling my friend about this game and sharing some of gameplay to let them see thing i really like to play now.
Where can I start? I don't like leaving reviews but I have to especially when I've been waiting a month for this game. The whole vibe of what it would be like in a social space is so accurate and the fact each character is so different makes it so good. Every interaction is well written and there is to do lists to keep you on your toes! I love the VC and the VA voices! I can't wait for the next updates!!!!
I am really enjoying the early access content available so far! I am a big otome/amare game fan, add in the chatsim genre and I'm locked in. Despite what some other comments may be lamenting over, the need for correct choices and the more stable 'common route' elements don't bother me - those are very genre consistent. I usually 'wing' my first playthrough and then use a guide for the subsequent ones if I'm struggling. I also make generous use of the save feature to not get too stuck if I need to go back a couple days to fix something! I also utilize the 'instant' speed if I want to skip thru the chats I've already seen in the earlier days when I'm playing routes consecutively, I appreciate that feature :) The writers did a fantastic job with making the 'biscord' feel authentic. The characters all feel unique and you really get a feel for their archetypes. I love the desktop interface where you can look at files, the web, email, streams, etc - and customizing your home screen. Also, I like that the typing mini-game is optional - sometimes I skip it but other times I do have fun practicing, reminds me of the younger years lol. I appreciate the highlighted defined words to help fill in the knowledge gaps in the v-tuber world a lot! Gold stars for the art and the voice acting as well. So good! Overall, I've really liked and recommend this game so far and can't wait for more content in 1.0 (or maybe sooner)!
This game deserves a good review. You can really feel how much love was put into it I’m not really into VTubers, so I probably missed half the terminology and references, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the game at all. It’s charming, funny, and has just enough mystery to keep you curious. I especially liked trying to figure out who is who and what exactly is going on behind all those chats Definitely a fun little experience, even if you’re not familiar with VTuber culture
I won't lie—I've been a fan of Nochi Studios games for a while now, but LoveByte.Exe has definitely become one of my favorites. Reason 1: they kept the love interests hidden, so you—the player—follow your heart and intuition as you chat on the server. Reason 2: the interactions are amazing; it really feels like a real chat, with each character having their own distinct personality. I also want to add that I loved the voice acting; I think it made the game even more immersive. Even for someone like me who isn't familiar with the VTuber world, it was a great experience.
This game has been living *rent free* in my mind. I am having the best time going through the routes (aside from struggling not going for my fav) and am -- patiently-- impatient for more. I am living for what this team has put out so far, and I will absolutely be looking into their other games. If you enjoy dating sims, I absolutely recommend giving it a try, but keep in mind that it is EA, and the team is small, but they are doing their best! I have seen them be very responsive to players in regard to bug reports, suggestions, etc. so they deserve the support ^-^
