Cannot recommend a game this poorly made. The UI, movement, and combat is so cheap. I played for about 5 minutes and realised what this game looked like is not it. Until the game is adjusted/changed and polished, i cannot recommend. This is such an ambitious project of a game, i liked the world i seen when i played for the 5-10 minutes i played, but that's about it. I have played another game called Lost Islands, and its a one man team game as well, it had the same generic menu, UI, and combat system, literally the same thing, cheapest of the cheap. When your in the menu and starting a game you have 2 points to put into an attribute system and cosmetic option below that, the cosmetics DON"T EVEN WORK. Like, seriously.. And the multiplayer is LAN. So justifying this game at a $25.00 price tag ? You can't and that's a big problem. I highly recommend you do not buy this title until there is a price drop and the game is properly changed and developed. This game is worth 5 bucks at the most in the state it's currently in. The developer is worried about sales but you won't sell the game when it's in this kind of state. To the dev, if you want to pursue the games industry as a carrier, i suggest working on the game more and spending more money to make it somewhat of quality. This is beyond attrocious for this price. Appreciate the honesty, the game is playable in a decent state, indeed it is but the game itself lacks quality in almost all main aspects of the game. The Menu, UI, Combat, basically gameplay itself. Also it is very poorly optimized ! High temps on my cpu and gpu that should not be going into the mid 80s. Ridiculous. Only thing i can like about this game is the soundtrack and the world. The enemies looked pretty cool in the trailer as well. Other than that, everything is very generic. You won't sell the game like this. DO NOT RECOMMEND !

First thing that I would say is that the game is very basic at the moment a lot of work is required. Thing that most stands out is the visuals and level design. The world is very pretty and has lot of verticality. The world actually looks handcrafted and cool. There is a good variety in enemies although the combat is very basic and can be cheesed easily. All in all I can recommend this game when its on sale. I would like to see how it develops further. I would like to wish the developer best of luck.
Review written 10/16/2021 In Early Access Lost in Red Valley shows the bones needed to become an enjoyable game: The environment is well created. I've discovered many beautiful views and locations I wish to build my base of operations. Locations are varied and distinct using both the environment and objects placed in locations. The weather effects are simple, but well done. Light rain, rain with and without fog, heavy rain, heavy thunderstorms, and snow. My favorite is heavy thunderstorms at night. The lighting effects from the lightning is based on the origin point. This causes lighting effects to come around objects in the environment (hills, valleys, mountains, statues). This includes the "god rays" lighting effects. The basic base building is functional. I've encountered a few situations when I thought a ceiling section should be supported well enough, but is destroyed when placed. I've solved each of these with placing a wall or windowed wall section. Crafting is functioning well. I progressed through the different tiers of weapons at a steady rate. Pictures and text are used to communicate crafting requirements. Lost in Red Valley has rough edges to smooth out: Some animations are "stiff" or need smoothing out. This includes some enemies such as the gaki (zombie like enemy) attack swings. Some hitboxes appear to be "off". The overhead thrust of the spear often misses. The claw attacks of standing and crawling gakis (zombie like enemies) attack swings may hit when you appear to be slightly out of reach. Bite attack of raptors uncommonly appears to hit more than one per single bite attack animation. In conclusion: I'm enjoying my time in Lost in Red Valley. I'm eager to continue to explore the world of Lost in Red Valley. There are more locations for me to discover, and they become more interesting and intricate as I continue to discover. There are rough edges and difficulties to avoid currently, but Lost in Red Valley is in Early Access. Improvement comes with support, effort, and time.
Abandoned.
Seems like the dev is lost in Red Valley too...

I can't recommend this at all, the only thing going for this game is the insanely good looking world. Everything else only has potential but there needs to be a lot of work done to make this game playable. Me and my girlfriend came across way too many problems and we ended up just exploring the world because that is all that could be done. Pros: + This game looks amazing! + I can honestly see the potential this game has Cons: - If you play with the sound in the menu all of the sounds screw up. You'll either have no sound or very little sound - Night time is horrible, it's completely pitch black even with a touch or fire of some kind you just have to stand there for a few minutes waiting for the sun to come up - Can't build anything - A wolf spawns at the camp area at the start of the game so you can't progress unless you kill it and that is incredibly hard because it kills you in a few hits and seems to stun lock you - No sign of story whatsoever - Apparently there is a character customize option but the sliders don't work There are honestly too many more things to write about so I recommend watching the gameplay and review I've linked. Don't get this game until it's updated a lot more then it is. I really tried to get into this game because I DO see a lot of potenial in this game. The world is beautiful and I also find the inventory and general UI really user-friendly BUT the hit boxes of the enemies are so weird, attacks simply stun-lock you and I am absolutely no fan of the fact that you lose your Exp if you die. Also the sliders in the character creator don't work at all (you can use them but nothing happens). Honestly sad. I hope this one isn't canceled and things are getting done with it.
Is a gread game for chill :D
