‘Lost in Place’ is a fun drone/spaceship flying game in which you have to guide a tiny spacecraft around a room collecting coins and landing on the landing pad. But if you touch anything else other than the coins or landing pad the ship will explode. It’s challenging for sure, especially for those of us who will want to get max stars on each level. While I did indeed like the game it is the lack of content that puts me off recommending this. If you are a drone flyer in real life there is no reason you won’t finish this whole game in less than ten minutes. Sure, you can score challenge both with friends and globally. In a edit to my original view I have been told there are way more levels to finish and I have now discovered them for myself. For this reason I have changed my review to a thumbs up because it was only the lack of content hold it back. Thank you to the developer for such a fast, polite response.
This is an instant thumbs-up from me. I was attracted to it because it looked like a mash-up of Drone Hero (which I love) and Lunar Lander and... yeah, I was right, that's pretty much it. And it's perfect for it. There's plenty of levels to be starting with, the difficulty ramps up at a good pace and helps keep you feeling like you're capable of playing the game. The times for the stars on each level feel unattainable for the most part... but then you go back and do some of the early ones and find you've improved a lot. This is really well paced. There are some small ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but they're really small. Left stick can be used to turn (always great if you don't want to get caught up in cables) but, sadly, it's snap-turn only. Dev: option for smooth turn? Pretty please? Also, having to hit a button to calibrate the controller orientation at the start of every level seems excessive. How about, if you use the trigger without hitting A or X, it goes with the previous calibration? Those wee complaints aside... yeah, 2 minutes in and I'm sold. This is well paced, feels doable, has a lot of replay value and is just plain fun. And there's more content to come!
