Lord O' Pirates

Interesting movement system compared to other roguelikes where the movement is quite, in lack of better terms, grounded. Here, you'll find a "sway" in your turns which was weird to get used to at first, but was a fun challenge to overcome. It reminded me of being on any type of icy surface in other games, where movement ends up being more slippery, but that is not meant in a bad way. I think the movement can be a very fun part of the game and I've been able to get a few really cool drifts away from danger in my first game. Speaking of the drift, I really enjoyed that the usual "dash" movement was swapped with something else, that being the drift. I will say however that it feels like you'd more often than not simply just want to hold down spacebar and be able to get those quicker turns at all times, but as I've just completed the first map with the first ship and lack of upgrades, I'm sure this'll be something I could change my mind about later in the game. The abilities and upgrades I've seen so far are quite fun, and looking at the steam page screenshots, I can only imagine how crazy they'll get later on, so I am quite looking forward to that. The theme also goes crazy hard at the main menu, LORD O' PIRATES!

Lord O' Pirates is a chest of treasures. Memorable soundtrack - Drifting da boat - All boat builds feel powerful and rewarding. I think about this game regularly.

Anyone who complains about this Game Being HARD or the 1st ship sucks just not that good at games like this Its a Roguelite Bullet Hell game With PIRATES as the main them Controls are simple & easy to figure out wroth the price.

Hella fun game, the movement is fun once you start learning to reverse and play around a bit more. The humor in the game is top notch. Still can't get a firm answer on the existence of the cow level though. Got lost in an island and retraced my steps 3x time while being chased by a flaming demon. 10/10 experience slowly losing sanity

I don't know what it is about this one that I like so much. That title song is a banger tho.

TL;DR: This is a super fun, addictive game! Highly recommend to anyone who's a fan of the genre (and even those who aren't!)! I don't usually play this type of game, but I'm hooked! I love the variation of enemies, unique level design, cleverness and humor, and the theme song SLAPS. It's super fun to unlock new ships and captains, and I love all of the animation and sprites. My goblin brain goes brr (or maybe it should be 'shiver me timbers') whenever I collect gold and level up my ship's abilities and stats. I want to keep playing and unlock new items and quests and I WANT TO PET THAT DOG. 10/10, highly recommend.
