This looks cool but it continuously follows the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ formula that basically every indie horror RPG suffers from, enemies take too many resources to reliably beat, so you think to avoid them until you get your ass beat by the boss cause you don't have good enough stats. I love the music and sprite work, even if the art does git a bit bland with monster design at times its an incredible looking game. But those are only part of a game, and the actual game is borderline unplayable at times. Resources are super limited, enemies don't give enough EXP to justify plowing through them when you're probably gonna need to heal up immediately after. I was smart enough to pick easy for my first playthrough, which gives you the ability to save anywhere, but even then I'll boot up the game, get bombarded by 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, then remember why I stopped playing and put it down again. I seriously could not imagine trying to play this game without the ability to save anywhere, so if you really want to play this, PICK EASY, or else you'll drop it faster than I did. Maybe my thoughts will change after my first run of the game but I really doubt it.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 17 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,502 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

such an underrated game
Here is the updated review translated into natural, well-structured English: Look Outside stands out as a remarkable title for indie horror fans, immediately capturing attention thanks to its chilling atmosphere and a visual design that turns simplicity into its greatest strength. Pros Atmosphere and Immersion: The game masterfully conveys a constant sense of paranoia. Tension builds naturally without over-relying on predictable jump scares. Stunning and Unique Boss Battles: The boss fights are a true highlight of the game. Each one is uniquely designed, offering original mechanics alongside a memorable visual and psychological impact. Abundant Secret Quests and Exploration: Exploring the environment consistently rewards players with numerous side missions and hidden secrets scattered across the map. The "Meat World": The introduction of this alternate dimension is a brilliant concept—it adds a layer of deep dread and significantly enriches the gameplay experience. Cons and Areas for Improvement Lack of Clues for Cursed Items: The main flaw lies in how the game handles key items needed to unlock specific endings. There are very few hints or visual cues. A prime example is finding the cursed photo: it is hidden behind a wall that you have to blow up, yet the wall's surface shows no visual indicator or crack to distinguish it from any other wall. This turns exploration into frustrating trial-and-error. Clunky Access to the Meat World: While the Meat World is atmospheric perfection, its access mechanics are poorly balanced. Entering requires collecting a certain number of keys; however, the game is inconsistent—returning keys in some areas while consuming them in others. This confusing design almost forces players to rely on external guides. Absence of a Logbook/Journal: Some secret quests involve complex steps that stretch over several in-game days. A dedicated "Journal" section in the menu tracking active quests, completed actions, and upcoming goals would have been immensely helpful. This way, if someone takes a break from playing for a few days, they could simply check the journal to recall what they’ve done, where they are in the story, and what to do next without feeling completely lost. Final Verdict Overall, Look Outside remains a highly compelling horror game, recommended for anyone looking for a dark, psychological experience packed with memorable boss fights. However, it suffers from a few unintuitive game design choices that—between the lack of visual cues and no quest-tracking features—too often push players to look up external walkthroughs.

Truly a gem of a game. Usually, when other reviews say: “Don’t read anymore or ask questions, just play it”, I’m like… haha yeah, sure. But it’s actually warranted here. Everything about this game just oozes passion. Art style is crazy good, enemy designs are excellent, music is great, battles (on survival difficulty) feel challenging but fair, and it's very obvious when you’re out of your element in a fight; build potential is great also. Writing is really good, too, as is the general horror vibe and story outcomes. After I finished my first playthrough (around 20 hours), I took a glance at the wiki just to see what other characters I could have recruited, to answer some of the questions I had, and things I may have missed, and holy… There is a deceptive amount of content in this game. So much so that I now understand how others have 60+ hours in this. Difficulty also changes enemy density, placements, and progression requirements, which is crazy replayability. Honestly, easiest recommendation of my life. Subjective Negatives There were only really a few negatives I had, which are generally down to how I play games (and perhaps how you play). The biggest one, in my opinion, is the god-awful durability mechanic. I hate durability at the best of times, but having an RNG-based durability system, where my weapon can break on the first swing after being repaired, feels HORRIBLE. Genuinely, it made me consider modding it out. Similarly, there’s no way to customise difficulties, specifically, the save mechanic. It would be good for someone who only really does one playthrough of games to be able to play on survival difficulty while still being able to save anywhere to avoid long replays to try different things; more a subjective point though - possibly an opening for QOL settings in the future. This actually ties into the final point: you can encounter events that require specific items before you find them, which you couldn't know about, or the inverse. Spoiler example:
finding and beating Joel before finding the teddy or destroying the landmines before realising you need to collect them
. To be clear, this is more about the relationship with the save system as it pertains to how I play, not the game's design. There were a few times when I realised I could/should have done something different to favour how I wanted my run to go, and it meant I had to load a past save, which may have been an hour back, just to retry that event/interaction. Again, that’s what replayability is for, but it would be nice for that combination to have been an option to avoid this.
:>
pretty much everything about this game is amazing. the artwork is so detailed and conceptually interesting. There's tons of story and lore to explore that even dozens of hours in (offline) I'm still discovering new things and exploring new areas. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who loves turn based rpg's and wanting something unique
I love this game so much :)))))))))))
