A lot of fun. Enjoyable characters, cute art and fun story. I found the conflicts compelling and interesting. The characters felt real and likeable. Good representation without being self congratulatory. Occasionally it was a bit hamfisted with the messaging (even though it aligns with my beliefs). The ending was a bit abrupt. Feels like it needed an extra episode or two or a more definitive ending earlier. I had a few issues with ui and functions. Skip is slightly obscure (press shift and click to next passage) and you cant stop the skip while on the phone. Also skip is universal no option to only skip read text. The save screen is also a bit clunky. I wish the settings were a bit more extensive.
So far this game is utterly stupid where you can't tell people to ♥♥♥♥ off, are forced to interact with idiots who won't leave you alone, and there is NOT ONE hot guy (or girl) in the ENTIRE game! On top of that, it's a idiotic detective story that you can't get out of however many times you say you don't care. The game pretty much strongarms you into following a single plotline, regarless of what choices you make. Which makes it pretty worthless as a game. Which is pretty sad, because the premise for the game is actually pretty cool, with playing as a normal teenager dealing with normal teen problems. (I also heard a rumor that there was a yandere love interest here, but I didn't have my hopes up very high for that, so I'm only a little disappointed on that note.) I really wish this game had some COOL love-interest, like a crazy satanic (or at the very least goth or emo) guy (or girl). AND that your choices MATTERED.
things I liked: - showing really GOOD integrity (generally) about the lgbtq+ peoples - visuals - illustrations are good - having for love interest Marcel I loved the flirty interactions between us - for once you can choose to incarnate a boy or a girl or a non binary person and I LOVE THIS OMG things I didn't liked: - I personally wanted to focus on my love interest but there's the whole story about the drama that took so much unessery time to be solved - I "love mained" Marcel... was kinda upset about the way things happened - it's really personal but I thought the episode about choosing a high school and the thing with Marcel got me real stressed out (but not in a good way) - the way at the beginning the story line was good but after a moment I thought it got a lil bit more messy (just an impression) That's just a complete subjective review but in general I got real ADDICTED to the game, I think you can spend some good time playing this game for those who just search some teen romances,
i have 1 gripe and that is that Em looks like there in there 30s
7.5/10. Jogo muito bom!!!
I played Longstory on mobile back when it was releasing episodically, and it was nice to replay it after all this time. This game has been a pleasure to revisit and I do recommend it, albeit with some caveats due to some rough spots. The good: The strength of this game is that it has cozy and cute vibe, with a story that makes lots of room for LGBTQ+ characters and storylines. The characters are about 14 years old, so it's family friendly and just romantic enough for younger players. The PC version of the game has added 3 save slots, which was my biggest wish from the mobile version. I look forward to finally play some of the other romances to the end. The characters are nuanced and neither perfect nor completely without merit. It's nice to get to know them and learn about their hopes and dreams. The meh: If you're looking for a visual novel that lets you shape your character, Longstory is not what you're looking for. The player has some influence over the main character's actions and conversations, but there's multiple occasions when the game is set on telling a certain story and it can feel like you can't influence the story at all. Some dialogue choices feels innocent, but ends up being far from what you imagined. The art style and writing tends to change noticeably between episodes. It wasn't a dealbreaker for me, but it might be for others. The annoying: If you're playing as a male character, you'll constantly be made aware that the game is first and foremost written with a female main character in mind. There's some occasions where this feels completely at odds with the main character's background, the overall story, as well as some of the reactions (or lack of reactions) from your friends in the story. If the rough spots in this game doesn't deter you, and you adjust your expectations for how much you'll be able to influence the story accordingly, you'll find a lovely group of characters to get to know, and a lot of teenage angst that's just cute enough to not be annoying. Longstory has a lot of well-written scenes that I actually still remembered from back then and really enjoyed revisiting. I won a key for this game for free when it was newly released for PC, but I did pay for the original mobile version myself. :)
Boring and not memorable. Extremely cliché writing
I wish it was longer
This story is very cute and wholesome but honestly it feels difficult for me to get into.
