A few points I will say about this game. The voice acting in the opening did pull me in. It seems the voice actress knew what to say and properly. So kudos to the voice actress. Now the game as a whole feels unfinished but that doesn't mean the idea isn't amazing. I feel with more work to put in the game can be great. I'm guessing this is the companies first game. Still overall it's eh so far for me. Like the idea but needs work, but it's free so I can't really complain?
Logout, a rough execution, but a unique idea. I like the game in concept, but I would only recommend it if you are interested in trying out a somewhat "experimental" indie game.
TLDR
*Worth a playthrough *Under an hour long *Narrative-focused story game *Has actual gameplay! NOT a 'walking simulator'! *Heavy emphasis on 'stealth' with sometimes multiple solutions to an obstacle (different emotions to use).
Blurb
This is an interesting experimental game. Basically a no-budget freeware (not free to play but actually FREE) game done in a manner resembling a student project. Stock assets and very little polish. That said, the game functions far better than most others that I've seen on Steam. The controls cannot be rebound (boo!) but the game is short enough that it doesn't really matter anyways. I like the idea of manipulating emotions to achieve results. Many of the 'messages' you send are quite humorous :) Reminds me of 'Remember Me' which has ironically been almost completely forgotten. There's some actual voice acting here and I must give credit to the voice actress in question. Much better vocal performance than what I would've figured.
Worth It?
This game is worth experiencing. It is short enough and easy enough that it can be completed in under an hour at most. It is basically more of a 'demo' or prototype for a game than anything else, but the areas you go through are actually completed for the most part. Forgive the janky N64-era graphics and sometimes-wonky controls/AI and you can enjoy it :)
Random Bits
I feel the name 'Quinn' is unfortunately tainted due to the GamerGate events and subsequent series of controversies. If this game/demo is going to be fleshed out, a rename of 'Quinn' to something else is highly suggested. This game/demo is OVER A GIGABYTE in size!? Schtako!? Be sure to uninstall it ASAP once you've completed it. I seriously can't believe the dev(s) didn't even care about file size at all. People on limited-data plans will probably just give this a pass and that's a shame.
The story and the concept are really interesting and are particularly relevant in recent times. There are a few times the game glitches out, but i hope the developers will continue refining the game.
Very nice story concept and unique alternative gameplay compared to other violent games. Wish there was more to play.
NIE POLECAM STEROWNIE 3 NA 10
A bit like an off-brand Watchdogs, but good. It's short, but I like that about most indie games.
