About
You are an angler haunted by huge debts. In the midst of yet another night working at sea, you catch something different: a fish which talks, and promises to make you rich... but at what cost?
A brief (around 30 minutes) fishing horror game about debt and hopelessness. Enjoy a twisted cautionary tale in one sitting.
Underwater eye-cam. Watch the fish biting the lure, then retrieve it as fast as you can. Be careful though: something else may be watching you as well...
Fish and gut. Fly-fish like a pro, then gut your catch to keep 'em fresh. Be careful with the knife though: you don't want to cut yourself.
The talking fish wants a deal. Consider the alluring promises of this mysterious being through surreal dialogues and twisted choices.
The loan shark is coming. This is no relaxing cozy fishing experience. Your time is running out, and something horrible lurks in the water.

At first, this game is about organized gang activity. Then, it's about making a deal with the devil. At last, it's revealed that the game was about capitalism all along. The men had fish and were fed for a day, but then "the smell of their fish rose to the noses of the great men - they scented some profit in it, and let the sea-shore to the great fishmongers of London" (Karl Marx).
Technical details: Proton Experimental, a few glitches warranting a restart (for instance, the Captain's wagecuck pact offering and the eye expropriation events can be triggered too soon to each other breaking the scripting).
This is an excellent short game that perfectly captures the current job situation in the world. The social commentary is interesting, to say the least. One very positive aspect of the game is the achievement hunting, which is genuinely fun, largely because the game knows not to take itself too seriously. It is a brief but highly enjoyable experience, and I am already eager to play other titles from this developer. May Cagliuso burn in a pan.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Gra to przygodówka symulacyjna w klimatach horroru. Fabularnie znajdziemy też odniesienia do kapitalizmu. W końcu nawet ryba może być biznesmenem. 6/10

Game had a lot of potential but its just short and boring. The achievements serve just to get you to keep replaying it so it can get you past the 2 hour mark. Its $4 so I didnt expect much but I was hoping to at least be able to catch the shark...

Lovely little game. Enjoyed the journey a lot.
Loan shark is a phenomenal short indie horror game, well worth.
This game pretty much told me to give up hope and get a job. 10/10
