I only have good feelings about this game. The controls, despite warning me I should be using a controller, felt tight and intuitive. Easy to use even. I love to see this in games. Good user interaction is sometimes very hard to get right and they did here. I've gotten through a couple bosses so far (I'm not really good at these kinds of games) and was pleasantly surprised at how accessible this game is. I do need to get better at dodging, as I have died a few times where I very obviously could've dodged to safety. My bad. The upgrades and stores will feel familiar to people that have played some other games but also obvious and well explained to people that aren't. There are a lot of different choices that feel different to use, which is the right way to do it. I look forward to playing this more and seeing what else this developer has in store. Well done. Keep at it.
First, a little about the game, its a single player roguelike with low poly 3D graphics and a coherent art style. The music is immersive and the game-play is simple enough anyone can just pick it up and go. It recommends controller but I was playing just fine with Mouse and Keyboard. The game play breaks down into clearing floors of enemies to progress, earning rewards for defeating enemies that will help you in the fights against the bosses. PROs Very Simple tutorial, but very smooth learning curve as well. Unique art style, low poly 3D, with a bit of retro feeling Catchy retro Audio that fits the style of the game very well. Variety of weapons and spells to build a play style from. CONs Trap rooms are slightly easy Options menus are a little counter-intuitive Exiting the game is slightly hard to find. SUPERKASH RATING: 4.1/5 STARS Good job! Nice game! God of Fun approves!
This game is really fun! The art style is appealing and well done, and the controls/mechanics feel very smooth. It recommends a controller but I like playing on keyboard & mouse (haven't tried controller yet). The game mechanics are sweet, I like the way you can level up and buy things every couple of floors, and can re-roll what the store has. One time I got the pike/spear, I'd recommend you keep that thing, it has great range! It's super cool this was made by an indie dev, it's really well done and I hope I can beat this first boss on my next try!
There are some rough edges in it, but the whole thing has a lot of character and unique art in it. Definitely worth it if you enjoy little roguelikes, and I'm excited to see what else the developer does.
It's fun. I like how much they achieved visually with simple characters and color alone. There is good variety in weapons and ranged attacks .. you can express your playstyle quite well.
Hello from Magnetite Games, I'll be honest: I bought this game because I share the indie dream of making my own game. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. The Good: I didn't encounter any real bugs, except that the highest loop stays at 0 for me after beating the game. The game loop is really good. Each level had a clear objective: kill everything and get through the door. The breaks before the boss battles are nice; I would like to see some health restoration there. The first crow fight was very enjoyable. It reminded me of an RPG boss battle where respecting the enemy's mechanics is crucial. The dodge mechanic is fun and useful for protecting against damage. The attacks felt weighty, and the few items I used felt unique. This feels like a game I can return to for short sessions to see if I can get through a run. The music is good, and the graphics are simple but effective. The Bad: The game needs a bit of balancing. I beat it on my second try in about 30 minutes without knowing anything about the game. The first item I got was the axe that deals damage based on your money. I hoarded money and one-shot everything, including the final boss, skipping all the mechanics and stacking melee damage. Because of this, I didn't spend any money on items to avoid losing damage. The exit game option should be easier to find. I suggest making the inventory menu tab and escape key closer to the exit option. Other Feedback: I would like to be able to store items in an inventory to mix and match. Maybe if you complete the game, you could keep those items permanently to try different builds on new runs. After beating the game, I boosted the purple orb damage ball to 2x damage and one-shot the water level bosses with it when charged. I felt big brain there. I cant wait to see an update is needed on this game and where you take it good luck!
A great fun dungeon rogue lite. Could easily sink a lot more time into this game.
This game is great! I had a blast with the different enemy types and upgrades.
I've only played this game for a bit - tried the demo then played a bit after purchase - but here are my thoughts so far: PROS: - The art style is very charming. - The music is very good. - Art style + music makes a great vibe. - Combat feels impactful and mostly fluid - The mix of unlocking things during a run and outside of runs feels rewarding CONS / SUGGESTIONS: - I think the difficulty could be raised a little bit - as someone who's generally really bad at these types of games and using a control, I got past the first couple bosses on my second run. Could experiment with a few ways of doing this, I'd suggest making some enemies harder to stagger. Basically all non-boss enemies could be stunlocked forever, giving bigger enemies like, a max amount of stunlock before they're stun immune could be good. - Also, adding more enemies that do melee attacks could spice up the difficulty and make stunlocking less reliable. - Sometimes it's difficult to tell what's an enemy you can hit versus what's just an obstacle to avoid - Should add explanations for what status effects / damage types do, EG burning or water/wet - Some vials feel overpowered but most feel underwhelming. For underwhelming vials, maybe consider adding use charges? - Add more hotkey buttons to the UI - EG a visual for the dash w/ its cooldown and what button you press to use it, similar to the attack buttons. Also for the vial usage. I plan to play this game more when I get time, I think it has a lot of potential! TLDR: in-progress version of something between Binding of Isaac and Hades, very charming and mysterious, give it a shot!!
Fun game, some cool ideas. Enjoy the graphics and world design. Only complaint is normal mode is WAY to easy. There is a hard mode, but have yet to play it. The enemy AI needs to be tuned to be way more aggressive.
